Collister Elementary School

I think this school has really good intentions and teaches the children well. However, I did have a hard time with getting some of the staff to intervene with bullying. Other than that it was a good school for my children.

The only reason this school and their staff aren't riddled with horrific reviews is because they delete them. This school is the playground for the mean girls in highschool, who positioned themselves perfectly, to gang up on women they view as their competition and the children of those women. Unless, you are as unfortunate looking as their staff, do NOT enroll your innocent children.

Taft does a phenomenal job at engaging families, offering rigorous learning experiences for a wide variety of students, and celebrating student growth. This year they hosted a reading growth assembly where they honored the students who made the most growth in reading, celebrated the entire student body with a free book fair, and a special parent breakfast.

Our kids have had an awesome experience at Cynthia Mann. I feel like every teacher has cared for my kids and gone above and beyond. It’s a good supportive community and I like how engaged their staff is with students and the events that they have. My kids feel cared for and have continued to grow academically, as well as socially and emotionally. I couldn’t have asked for a better school experience for my kids.

St. Mary's is a welcoming community with some of the greatest teachers at every grade level. The school welcomes families into the school to active and engaged in their children's education. the partnership between home and school is a tremendous benefit to the students. The curriculum prepares students to excel academically, socially and spiritually. In addition to the great instruction in core subjects, St. Mary's includes Spanish for all students from Pre-k through 8th at least 4 times per week. All St. Mary's students that graduate in good standing are admitted to Bishop Kelly. If you are looking for a high quality education in a positive and inspiring environment, I highly encourage you to visit St. Mary's.

We did not have a good experience with Challenger School. The school is very secretive with their daily activities, the students don’t tell much, at least in pre-K. Until it comes to blatant breaks in discipline like flat out bullying and throwing educational supplies back at their teachers. Then they’re “taken to the principal’s office”. The overall perception is - parents are not allowed to see what is going on because it is an absolute mess back in the classrooms. Students’ possessions and clothing aren’t taken care of, students are being bullied… absolute mess. Not worth the investment.
