Read what parents are saying about Lowell Elementary SchoolAwesome great really good excellent the best
Posted by a community member on 9/23/2020My experience with this school has been very positive. My interactions with teachers, principal and staff members has been wonderful. The one downside is the school nurse. I do not have confidence in her abilities to positively identify medical emergencies or properly care for children. Her communication skills are awful and for children with medical needs this is a bit concerning. More training and developed skills for the nurse and this school would overall be great!
Posted by a parent on 4/26/2019Mr. James is an awesome teacher. My daughter came into his class in the middle of the year and he made her feel accepted imediatly. She was motivated and got up and to school everyday on her own. She truly enjoys school again. Thank you
Posted by a parent on 11/16/2018Overall my kiddo seems to be doing very well. I'm so relieved he's rising to the occasion and functioning well without the direct support and supervision that I have had in the past with an IEP.
Posted by a parent on 9/7/2018We've gone to several different schools. This is the very best school in our oppinion. We had to move out of the area for a while. We loved the school so much that we traveled over an hour every day just for our son to attend here.Staff and teachers are great! Parents are very involved.Great school!

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLongfellow is the most amazing school! We moved here from out of state and only looked in the Longfellow boundries based on all we had heard. We have been nothing but pleased. There is a new principal this year, James Bright who always considers the parents, teachers, and students views on each decision. He always hears requests, and usually answers them. We are at a temporary location this year, but next year our historic school will be renovated with an additional building on the lot where the old gym stood. The new building will be amazing. Our teachers are absolutely the best! They care so much for their students, and go above and beyond every single day. We raise money for our PTO which puts on fun events for our kids, supports our teachers in their needs, and we adopt a school in need each year that we help support and lift up. Our school focuses on kindness every day, and does monthly service projects to give back. The school is small, with roughly 2 classes per grade. This creates a sense of family and community. Every child is known and recognized. The parents here are fully engaged and always willing to give time or money to make Longfellow the greatest school in Boise. Our test scores are much higher than charter schools in the area, and in the top 5% of the nation.Parent Review2y ago - William Howard Taft Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe open enroll at Whittier for the dual language program. My kids range from typical to mild special needs and they love going to school here thanks to the dedicated and talented staff and diverse student body. It's also a community school, meaning there is extra support for kids' learning needs, and after school child care right on site. It's a shame this website gives Whittier 2/10 based on arbitrary test results. It's a solid 10/10 in my book!Parent Review1y ago - Learning Treeinc

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is a magical place! Our child has continued to thrive each year through the school’s inquiry based learning curriculum. The progressive education approach has helped him stay curious and challenged academically. Each teacher has taken extra care to understand our son as a learner and person. He enjoys the variety in the school day, as no day is like the other with well rounded arts and academic programs that keep his creative juices flowing. Another important piece for us is the schools focus on social emotional growth. He has learned so much about collaboration, diversity, acceptance and contributing to the world. He is becoming a passionate critical thinker at the the young age of 11.Parent Review11mo ago - St Marys School
