The teachers and principal at this school are great, and really foster an environment of caring. If your student fits neatly in the bell-curve, you'll love it.Unfortunately, if your child is at either end of the learning spectrum (either with learning difficulties or gifted), it's an incredible challenge to get them supported. There seems to be little to no education on various learning disabilities for the teachers. When you're trying to find help for your student, you get gaslit from the school psychologist. We ended up paying for private testing and tutoring, which isn't an option for a lot of families. It breaks my heart to think of how many kids use fall through the cracks here.

Adams is a public school with a private school feel! Parents are very involved in the classroom, which allows for lots of differentiation by ability, allowing each kid to learn at their own pace. The focus is on kindness and being a good friend, on addition to being a good student.

Live close to this school and watch when the school closes for the day and see lots of people use the grounds for dog walking and do not pick up after their dogs excriment leading to unsanitary conditions. The school should have gates closed during off hours to prevent this. I have had many issues with my kids who are in kindergarten who have come home with pet to human illness that has required me to bring them to see the physician and required tapeworm medicine.

I absolutely love this school. Great Education. Amazing kind Teachers. Each and every teacher cares about the student and were their level is at in what they are supposed to learn.

Mixed bag here...for being in Boise this school is incredibly "woke." First day in 6th grade they asked my child their "personal pronouns." In 7th grade art class the assignment was to write a report on a contemporary artist. My child was told their pick was "too white male." My child was subsequently instructed to choose a BIPOC artist, with extra points if they were "queer." My complaints regarding this fell on deaf ears.Many of the teachers are pretty decent. The facilities are relatively poor; there is not a cafeteria/lunchroom here. For the tuition we paid we expected more.The non-woke portions of the curriculum are good, especially the math and outdoor-centric programs. My child really enjoyed the trips and activities out of the classroom. However, we did put our son in a different international school this year and discovered he was way behind the curve in Chemistry, Physics, and Biology. His new school has these subjects as stand-alone classes starting in Grade 5. Not so at Riverstone.
