Read what parents are saying about Trail Wind Elementary SchoolMy children seem to be doing very well overall, on their report cards and their test scores. I feel the teachers could give parents more updates throughout the year, aside from the 2 mandatory parent teacher conferences, in regards to "what we can work more on at home" or areas that need more focus.
Posted by a parent on 2/5/2023I have had my children at this school for K-6th. It now is not a “ Friendly “ school. Extremely pretentious students and parents. PTO pushy about constant ways to make money. A lot of Bingo nights, Ect. Across the field is the Jr High school, you will have a lot of issues with the Jr High students if your children walk home from school, and neither schools care to address this problem. My children tell me that they do not feel safe at this school because the principal-vice principal are not affective in controlling the bully issue.
Posted by a parent on 2/20/2019DISBELIEF:I've had several kids go through Trail Wind Elementary School, and every year has been amazing UNTIL this year. While I believe the new principle has good intentions a pattern of confrontation has developed. Instead of deescalating situations, Beverly Boyd intensifies negative interactions instead of capitalizing on learning opportunities. I am generally a fan of teachers who work their way up the ranks into leadership positions, however NOT in this case.
Posted by a parent on 1/5/2016This is the best school we've ever had our 5 daughters attend. I've read some of the reviews already posted here on this site and I'd like to say this school is not "snotty" I believe as long as you are apart of your child's education/school.... You'll be extremely satisfied with this school and have nothing but positive experiences at this great school. Mrs. Taylor (kindergarten teacher) is my absolute favorite and her heart is made of gold!!! Sarah
Posted by a parent on 10/29/2014This school is small compared to what I grew up in. The teachers are excellent. The teacher to student ratio is great! Their ethics surpass most other schools. They continue to use playing and recess for social interaction learning! Thank you Trail Wind for being an amazing place for my children to get their education! Parents do need to get more involved, it seems the biggest complaint from teachers is the lack of parent interest.

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers and principal at this school are great, and really foster an environment of caring. If your student fits neatly in the bell-curve, you'll love it.Unfortunately, if your child is at either end of the learning spectrum (either with learning difficulties or gifted), it's an incredible challenge to get them supported. There seems to be little to no education on various learning disabilities for the teachers. When you're trying to find help for your student, you get gaslit from the school psychologist. We ended up paying for private testing and tutoring, which isn't an option for a lot of families. It breaks my heart to think of how many kids use fall through the cracks here.Parent Review2y ago - Liberty Elementary School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur daughter transferred to Liberty from another school, and she loves Liberty much better than her last school. The teachers and staff are all professional, friendly, and caring, and our daughter's reading and language skills have shot up almost immediately. The teachers challenge her more here. The kids have also all been very nice and she's made a lot of new friends quickly.Parent Review7y ago - White Pine Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a graduating senior and I could not have had a more positive experience at Riverstone. I have attended Riverstone since elementary school, and it has continuously proven to be an outstanding educational environment. The teachers are supportive and caring, the peers are academically motivated, and the IB curriculum ensures that each class is academically stimulating and rigorous (especially in 11th and 12th grade). Riverstone fostered a drive for learning inside me and literally shaped me into who I am. Some personal highlights include the outdoor trips, the creative, thought-provoking projects, and the birthday picture book that my 1st-grade teacher wrote for me (which I still have to this day)! Besides having a strong academic focus, Riverstone is also a close-knit community that rallies around its students so they can be their best selves. For instance, in 10th grade, I sought to write and produce a full-length play. Rather than leave me hanging, my classmates (including peers I had never talked to before) and teachers stepped up to help develop and act in the play. That kind of community support -- and the opportunities Riverstone provides you to explore your interests (whether through clubs, sports, outdoor trips, or passion projects) -- make Riverstone wildly unique. All in all, Riverstone has been an amazing place not just to go to school, but to grow up in.Student Review6mo ago - Lakewood Montessori
