Read what parents are saying about Liberty Elementary SchoolOur daughter transferred to Liberty from another school, and she loves Liberty much better than her last school. The teachers and staff are all professional, friendly, and caring, and our daughter's reading and language skills have shot up almost immediately. The teachers challenge her more here. The kids have also all been very nice and she's made a lot of new friends quickly.
Posted by a parent on 10/10/2016As a parent of a Liberty 3rd grader, I'm extremely impressed with the quality and the variety of programs offered. I think Liberty might be the only public school in the District that currently offers a Montessori program. My son doesn't attend Montessori at Liberty, but it's a great value to the school and community to offer this program. The afterschool Homework Club helped my son extend his daily reading time and improve his scores in Spelling and Math. Student achievement and involvement at Liberty is showcased throughout the halls - Liberty Pride. School events are always very well attended. I've found the teachers and staff to be helpful, considerate and effective. They consistently demonstrate their experience working with kids, and with parents. Based on my experience thus far, I give Liberty Elementary an excellent rating.

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers and principal at this school are great, and really foster an environment of caring. If your student fits neatly in the bell-curve, you'll love it.Unfortunately, if your child is at either end of the learning spectrum (either with learning difficulties or gifted), it's an incredible challenge to get them supported. There seems to be little to no education on various learning disabilities for the teachers. When you're trying to find help for your student, you get gaslit from the school psychologist. We ended up paying for private testing and tutoring, which isn't an option for a lot of families. It breaks my heart to think of how many kids use fall through the cracks here.Parent Review2y ago - Adams Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went to Adams as a child and we bought a home in the district so now my child attends. Mr. Adams (name is so fitting) is a great principal and very engaged. The teachers are engaged, creative and fantastic. Very active PTO and parent participation. Pandemic online was tough for my young kiddo but she was so happy to be back in person. Only drawback is that bc of the school attendance lines ….a bunch of the kids will be split up and have to attend East and North. Hard to be split up from friends when only two classes per grade with more of class heading to East Junior High bc they live in Mesa. My kiddo says, “I love Adams.”Parent Review2y ago - Garfield Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy children seem to be doing very well overall, on their report cards and their test scores. I feel the teachers could give parents more updates throughout the year, aside from the 2 mandatory parent teacher conferences, in regards to "what we can work more on at home" or areas that need more focus.Parent Review1y ago - White Pine Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is truly phenomenal! They are a partner in developing your children and not only focus on academic milestones, but also independence and community awareness and helpfulness, which are so vitally important and I love having that as part of my child every day exposure. Each of my children have been supported for their unique needs, and the teachers and staff have far exceeded my expectations. I was pretty hesitant about the mixed age classes before we started and now that’s turned into one of my favorite aspects of the school as the older children learn to help the younger children, and the younger children have help from others in their class. My oldest attended kindergarten, and we are planning on doing the same for our other two children as I believe it set her up for academic success beyond anything we could’ve done otherwise. The ratios are incredibly low for the kindergarten program and my daughter came out miles ahead of others who are in her current public school class.Parent Review1y ago - Riverstone International School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a graduating senior and I could not have had a more positive experience at Riverstone. I have attended Riverstone since elementary school, and it has continuously proven to be an outstanding educational environment. The teachers are supportive and caring, the peers are academically motivated, and the IB curriculum ensures that each class is academically stimulating and rigorous (especially in 11th and 12th grade). Riverstone fostered a drive for learning inside me and literally shaped me into who I am. Some personal highlights include the outdoor trips, the creative, thought-provoking projects, and the birthday picture book that my 1st-grade teacher wrote for me (which I still have to this day)! Besides having a strong academic focus, Riverstone is also a close-knit community that rallies around its students so they can be their best selves. For instance, in 10th grade, I sought to write and produce a full-length play. Rather than leave me hanging, my classmates (including peers I had never talked to before) and teachers stepped up to help develop and act in the play. That kind of community support -- and the opportunities Riverstone provides you to explore your interests (whether through clubs, sports, outdoor trips, or passion projects) -- make Riverstone wildly unique. All in all, Riverstone has been an amazing place not just to go to school, but to grow up in.Student Review7mo ago
