Read what parents are saying about Shreiner AcademyShreiner is an excellent school! Its definitely a gem and a parent's dream come true. Challenging academics accompanied by a nurturing and diverse environment. This is our first year at Shreiner and we have extremely high academic expectations that have been met by the PreK teachers and Director. Very satisfied.
Posted by a parent on 12/9/2014Challenging and fun. Even for my active, math wiz son. He is allowed to move ahead as far as he wants and is excited about his reading and Spanish class too! We love that he loves school and asks to do his homework!
Posted by a parent on 12/2/2014Excellent school, Shreiner's academics are exceptional. The student teacher ratio is low, the teachers are very engaging. The school offers, Spanish daily, Music & P.E. while still covering the core classes. This school truly embraces diversity, the children study various countries & then perform the countries native dance @ an annual International festival.
Posted by a parent on 2/25/2014Be aware of their cancellation/withdrawal policy. They require a 90 day written notice. I failed to read that when I signed up our son and honestly, nobody at the school went over that with me. I had to move out of town unexpectedly and we got stuck with the $5,000 bill to cover the 90 days tuition! I had not planned for that at all. If you are thinking of enrolling your child there, please be aware of that. I'd hate for others to have to go through that!
Posted by a parent on 11/18/2013Both my grandchildren attend Shreiner Academy (2K & 1st Grade). The 1st grader has been @Shreiner Academy since 2K. My daughter & son-in-law love this school and, of course, think this is the best school ever! We totally agree as we think the teaching/learning programs are by far the best! I would recommend this school to anyone who is interested in a good learning program for their kid/s.

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThey are cruel and irresponsible. I have a non verbal child who can't tell us about his day. It's been 2 months and we still can't get a note to tell us about his day. We've done everything and it's been totally exhausting. Teachers are unaccountable. They hate parents- especially fathers. If you have an autisic child this school would be a mistake.Parent Review8mo ago - Powers Ferry Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePowers Ferry is a hidden gem in Cobb County that has done wonders for our child! The school frequently hosts special nights or weekend events and there is great family engagement. Our son struggles with ADHD and impulsivity and he has been shown nothing but love and support. He is excited to go to school and excited to come home and share what he is learning.Parent Review1y ago - Sope Creek Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe worst school in Marietta, Ga. Administration is a joke, while they think/pretend that they are the most talented and experienced people in the world. Almost 70% of them behave in an unprofessional manner. A lot of times, we observed that they mistreated students/ minors... if the staff likes you; you can get away with anything... their language in the school area proves that they don’t know what an academic institution means. They say anything like to kids. Kids learn nothing unless you help them out. ..teachers don’t give homework, use most of their time calling parents related to disciplinary issues. In short, they need to first learn what an academic institution has to offer to improve personal as well as professional skills of 4-11 yrs old kids. They should set an example with their manners. smh!!Parent Review11mo ago - Brumby Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son has been in the SPK class for three years. year 1 was cool because his teacher was experienced and attentive to all of her students. the second year he was assign a new teacher who was teaching for the very first time, so we gave a LOT of grace. going into year two, there has been too many para teachers. Random "float" teachers who would have been handling my son in the bathroom and sent home a huge fist sized poop in my son's bag when he had an accident. any time I ask a basic question its typically met with an "idk it wasn't me" or "you should ask someone else I'm not sure". The icing on the cake was the parking protocol was functional in the first two years. in year three, the assistant principle who is tall and a male, approached my car with my son in it demanding I move my car because the parking system has changed. Even though there wasn't an email or message on the ck12 app. this new system involved only the SPK car riders to park in a traffic lane and literally walk across the parking lot of bus/ vans and other cars. I calmly expressed that it was dangerous, and my son gets excited for school and can run to his teacher as soon as we get out the car and his response was "hold his hand then". then he sent the campus police to me threating to "write me a ticket" for not parking in a traffic lane and away from vehicles. the cop approached me with his hand on his gun as if we weren't at a school but instead like I'm a criminal. the principal Ms. Alford and she seemed understanding to the issue and agreed the new drop off/ pick up policy wasn't the safest. she then the very next day of this talk tell my fiancé and myself that they have launched an "investigation" because I "drive wreck less" around children in their parking lot of no visual reminders of the flow of traffic and at the time no traffic enforced personnel. after the clear discrimination and segregation of my special needs son, i used the main lot to walk him to and from school for about 1.5 months. during our monthly meeting with his teacher, another AP expressed to us that we were allowed to join the NEW and safer policy for drop off and pick up with no evidence discovering that i was in fact not recklessly driving. as we joined the line, it was VERBATIM where i would park to drop and pick him up. to this day they cannot look me in my face or respond to an email. needless to say, we will never see Brumby after this school year.Parent Review1mo ago - Heards Ferry Elementary School
