Brumby Elementary School

I never write reviews but I felt this was necessary. I dont think I can say specific teacher's name's here, but if your child is in special education (in a 3-5 intergrated classroom), please consider private school or other placement. My child's experience here was heartbreaking. Dont be mislead by the perceived status of the school. If you want a safe, caring educator for your child, look elsewhere.

This 2 years been amazing for my daughter's and my son .staff is always helpfull and if some of the kids are struggling in academics they alway try the best for the students be better

This has got to be the worst school my son has ever went to. He went from great grades to failing. His first day the LUNCH LADY told him to shut up in lunch. His teacher only calls to complain but when he ask questions she won’t repeat herself. She marks certain stuff wrong on purpose. Grades only what she wants to grade. It’s just all a mess. The fact that we are moving to switch him back to Lockheed elementary says alot. Parents warned me but we are new to GA and believe me when I say he won’t be stepping foot back into this school after only being there 3 months.

This school is known for how bad they have been with special education. There’s an effort to keep kids with disabilities segregated from general activities and old view of neurodiversity. If you are a parent of a a kid with disabilities you will have to find an advocate for your kid to be included in general class and still having awful high rates of restraints and isolation as their way to help kids with strong emotions and complex behaviors with IEPs. I hope their new

I attended MBCA from K-8th as a student, and now I am a teacher here as well. My experience has been nothing short of extraordinary! This is a very special place with a heart for their students. The skills I learned at Mt. Bethel have carried me throughout my adult life. Working here as a teacher is an incredible experience since admin and families are supportive and nurturing. I can't recommend this school enough!

Our family’s experience with this school has steadily declined over the past several years. What began as a positive environment has unfortunately become one we can no longer recommend. The constant turnover of principals and teachers has created a lack of consistency, organization, and communication. It often felt like there was no clear direction or accountability, and we experienced ongoing issues with communication and billing that were frustrating to resolve. It was also concerning to watch so many teachers leave over the years. The school has shrunk significantly, eliminating grades 5–8 and combining multiple elementary grade levels. From our perspective, this reflects deeper challenges that have affected the overall school community. We also felt there was favoritism in how some situations were handled, which made it difficult to trust that all families and students were being treated fairly. If you’re looking for a stable school with strong leadership, consistent communication, and a positive culture, our experience did not reflect those qualities. We sincerely hoped things would improve, but after several years of seeing the same issues continue, we’ve decided it’s time to move on. I hope this review helps other families make an informed decision.
