Hutchinson Elementary School

I have had two children to come through CAE and I can say each year it gets better. The former principle was engaging and the new principle is implementing new ideas to peak the children's interest in the outside world. Maybe its just me, but I haven't seen any other elementary school have a student body government voted for by the actual student body (even the "pre-Kers"). The school is even STEM/STEAM certified. I am an active parent that feels welcomed by the faculty and staff of the school. I have a child that still attends Cleveland, he is gifted and could attend a more "prestigious" school, but I don't think that school would appreciate and nurture his talents and interests as well as CAE. I would (and have) recommended CAE to others.

I don't like this school! My grand daughter gets bullied,, she tells the teacher, the teacher ask if she's bleeding or hurt.. my granddaughter says no.. so she told to go back to her desk with no conversations with any of the bullies!!!! Other things have happened at this school but I will not get into it! SO THIS SCHOOL IS A HARD NO! going to start looking into other schools for my babies! 0 stars!

Both of my kids thrived while attending Parklane. My son was well prepared for middle school, and my daughter is doing great in the 4th grade!

AMAZING! The students there are very well mannered and respectful. When I entered the classrooms, they all greeted me "Hello, Good Morning, or Hi" then got back to working. The school is good for people with families with low income which fills up more than half of the school. The faculty is very nice.

SJE is a hidden gem, and I cannot recommend it enough! I came to discover SJE because of meeting graduating 8th graders, and it was immediately apparent to me how well prepared, bright, engaged, and polished representatives they were of the community. Part of SJE's philosophy is to "keep Christ at the center of all we do," and I sensed that at the cores of their characters upon meeting as well. My spouse and I both work in education, and our choices for PreK in our neighborhood did not provide us with confidence that our child was going to be prepared for Kindergarten with the necessary skills and knowledge. From the first prospective parent coffee, we knew that this was where we wanted to send him for PreK. Our decision has been reaffirmed at every turn -- every staff member has welcomed us in, knows my child by name (and personally!), and his teachers have been superb. The personal care and attention your child receives here cannot be overstated, the handwriting curriculum and communication are fantastic, and the faith formation is a wonderful added component that has led us as a family to be more intentional in our church attendance. Most certainly check it out! They are a warm, caring, welcoming, and thoughtful community. Because it is pretty small, it is refreshing for everyone to know you and to know your child very quickly.
