We have tried many times to follow the rules and do what is required of us and somehow we always get scolded for something. The regulations and expectations are never clearly
Posted by a parent on 2/4/2021Horrible...I withdrew her and I can see a difference in her now that she is in a new school. Her attitude is better, her grades are better, just overall better attitude and grades. That speaks a lot about how bad Sleepy Hill was.
Posted by a parent on 5/2/2018The admin is terrible to deal with, especially the principal. The PTO is solely focused on raising money and the SAC is merely a formality. There is no snack time. Your child will be starving by 3pm dismissal, plan accordingly. You will not be able to walk your child to class their first day, at all

The teachers and staff go out of the way to ensure the students are receiving the best education possible. The campus is safe, and I felt very safe in sending my children there. 4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school line is ridiculous , people love to skip the line because the assistant principal said it’s okay. Tired of kindergarten line skipping everyone.. I get there at 230 do you think I like seating on the line for my health.. I had a kindergarten child who went there and I had to go all the way to the back of the line. 7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf your child has never been bullied and you would like to keep it that way then do not send them to Winston Academy in lakeland fl. The children are not too young to bully at this school. For both of my children have been punched and choked in the restrooms of this school. If you think the principal will do something about that, your sadly mistaken. He will then tell you your feelings are valid and do nothing to these children that are causing the problems over and over so then you need to teach your child to defend themselves. If your child needs to use the restroom during class time make sure you bring a special form from your child's doctor stating they may use the restroom because it doesn't matter if your child is im ki departed or 5th grade the teachers will tell your student to either man up and hold it or tell them they have to wait until the lesson is over. No communication with parents at all, no things to attend for the kids. They give you info about stuff the day before or even not at all and expect your child to come home and tell you everything. No one reached out to have a conference with me at conference time and we definitely needed one.
