Trinity Lutheran School

This is a great school with a very active PTSA. Our teachers are go above and beyond with communicating what’s going on in the classroom, what’s going on in the school, and topics where your child could use extra practice at home. The PTSA provides many opportunities for families to meet and be engaged in their child’s school and education. They are always looking out for advocating for the needs of the students.

The staff here is very supportive and accommodating to my special needs student. They have given me many tools to help foster growth, and we've seen an improvement in my child's overall test scores. I can't believe that after a couple years of my student being well below grade level, he's finally approaching the level of his peers. The staff is very friendly and engaged, the facility is starting to show it's age, but it's well maintained. The neighborhood feels safe, and the school doesn't have any easy entry points, so bad guys would have a hard time accessing the school.I would absolutely recommend this school. A+++

There are far better schools than this. The principal is a joke and does not know how to manage staff. If you have any situations where you have to contact the principal, you'd do best to get it in an email. They will try to mistreat the child should you have complaints and if they do something wrong, they will blame the child and take steps in making sure the child appears to be the problem. They do not appear to know how to handle children with special needs. Suggestions for conflict that may arise with this school or with school within this district- get everything in an email, record all conversations, go to the principal but follow up with the district, having an advocate through any and all complaints would be ideal. The staff here will smile in your face, but they are not friendly and do not care for the overall wellbeing of the child. Protect your child and your peace of mind.

To be completely honest, this school doesn’t do a great job at enforcing what is in their handbook. As a former student at STA, I’ve witnessed much of what the handbook describes as ‘zero tolerance’. If throwing Nazi salutes and telling women to go back to the kitchen is ‘zero tolerance’, then why are they still on student council? Why hasn’t anything been done about it?The irony is insane, considering this is a Catholic school. This school doesn’t care about mental health either, nor do they prioritize it. They don’t even have a counselor you can go to.In my 10+ years here, I’ve felt more alienated than included. Instead of a student body, it felt like one big inside joke that I was never in on. Please, to any parents reading this, consider sending your child(ren) to another school. This school will destroy their mental health.

As we set out to choose a school for our daughter finding a school that truly included all children and all of their differences and likenesses was our top priority. We wanted a school that would prepare her naturally and completely for the real world. We wanted a school that celebrated family, faith, participation, health, safety, and most of all ability. St. Peter's Montessori has fulfilled all of those things and more. The small environment promotes the need to have all students play a vital role in day to day activities as a community. The life skills learned go far beyond the physical realm, building each child's ability to be productive members of society. Each child learns communication, academics, mental and physical problem solving, and SO much more. This is a safe and intimate environment for children to become all that they can be.
