Alot of the parents act like they are so much better than the next person.(fake too) Ruins it for the few really nic
Posted by a parent on 2/20/2014My kid is in Pre-School. Ever since she started has become more social and improved her communication skills. Her teacher gave a detailed insight over her classroom behavior which is very helpful to work those areas at home.

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe staff here is very supportive and accommodating to my special needs student. They have given me many tools to help foster growth, and we've seen an improvement in my child's overall test scores. I can't believe that after a couple years of my student being well below grade level, he's finally approaching the level of his peers. The staff is very friendly and engaged, the facility is starting to show it's age, but it's well maintained. The neighborhood feels safe, and the school doesn't have any easy entry points, so bad guys would have a hard time accessing the school.I would absolutely recommend this school. They do not reach out to you when there are issues to give you an opportunity to help, and they do not help when you reach out for assistance. They're happy to move your child from class to class, though. If your child is bullied, they do nothing to address the bullies, they put the bullied child into a group in the office to teach them how to handle being bullied better. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTo be completely honest, this school doesn’t do a great job at enforcing what is in their handbook. As a former student at STA, I’ve witnessed much of what the handbook describes as ‘zero tolerance’. If throwing Nazi salutes and telling women to go back to the kitchen is ‘zero tolerance’, then why are they still on student council? Why hasn’t anything been done about it?The irony is insane, considering this is a Catholic school. This school doesn’t care about mental health either, nor do they prioritize it. They don’t even have a counselor you can go to.In my 10+ years here, I’ve felt more alienated than included. Instead of a student body, it felt like one big inside joke that I was never in on.
