4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHuge fan of sacy. Both my boys are thriving both on the social interaction and the learning curve. My kindergartener has already progressed through the prescribed curriculum, so his teach went to some of the first grade teachers to get him some focused study material so that he would not become bored with learning and lose his drive(which he loves). I would consider that to be above and beyond expectations. My other boy loves to go on about the latest lesson and how much fun he had when his teach turned it into a game. The school as a whole focuses on fair treatment, even going so far as awarding "bucket fillers" for demonstration good moral character (helping others, being respectful, performing acts of kindness, etc.). I was a student here for all 3 grades, 6th-8th grade, 6th grade for me was not that bad, but in 7th-8th grade things went downhill. I would just like to say that I did have some good teachers at this school, but there were also teachers I had at this school that weren’t the greatest. When I was in 8th grade it was awful here, overall my experience in 8th grade at the school was bad. When I was in 8th grade here, the counselors at the school didn’t really care at all. There was an assistant principal there at the time I went there, who is still there I believe, and this assistant principal told me something when I did not even really do anything, I did not do anything wrong, but I was told something, despite doing nothing wrong. There was also this one teacher I had that obviously showed favoritism towards certain students, and I genuinely believe that I was a student that she did not like, one time I had my phone out because I was looking up something for a group thing that I had to do in her class, and she told me to put it away so I did, I put my phone in my pocket, and she still made me put it on her desk, and class was almost over anyways, but once class was over, she proceeded to say something along the lines of “you can take your phone back *my name* (loudly, to the point everyone in the class could hear), and I was so embarrassed, that I wanted to cry, but I didn’t, because that honestly would’ve been even more embarrassingOther Review1mo ago - Check out schools near 2021 Mahan Ave #D5.

"It’s great for walking, the trails are basically our back yard, but the houses on that edge are not allowed to have fencing, per city code, so we have to do potty on a leash. If your house is not on the edge of the trail access you can have a fence, our neighbors across the street have them. "

"There is not much traffic on the interstate except at 0800 and 1700. Commute times to downtown are about 15 minutes to Richland, Kennewick and Pasco. The roads are well maintained except sometimes they are not plowed in the winter."

"we have a community yard sale once a year theres the river with the boat launch and park we walk our dogs there its only 1 block from my apartment the hydro races are held there each year theres plenty to do, its a nice quiet area and we have a swimming pool to enjoy its a great neighborhood plus we're just blocks from the Columbia Mall."

"I moved here years ago after growing up in Los Angeles California. We have low crime, beautiful rivers for boating, tubing, kayaking and now water-yoga which is done on top of your paddle board. All types of restaurants including outdoor dining in the summertime at any of the many wineries here. 3 hospitals for peace of mind that are outstanding. It’s just a more low-key place to live for all demographics. People here are honest hard workers, but without the aggression that I saw daily in LA"
