Read what parents are saying about Sacajawea Elementary SchoolHuge fan of sacy. Both my boys are thriving both on the social interaction and the learning curve. My kindergartener has already progressed through the prescribed curriculum, so his teach went to some of the first grade teachers to get him some focused study material so that he would not become bored with learning and lose his drive(which he loves). I would consider that to be above and beyond expectations. My other boy loves to go on about the latest lesson and how much fun he had when his teach turned it into a game. The school as a whole focuses on fair treatment, even going so far as awarding "bucket fillers" for demonstration good moral character (helping others, being respectful, performing acts of kindness, etc.). They Then mail the bucket fillers to the childs house.
Posted by a parent on 5/13/2021My kids feel safe at school. Any time I have had issues, I have been able to work ot out with either the teacher or principal. There is a great PTO with many ways to get involved, which helps parents know the school. Though not perfect, what school is, it is a great school that I have enjoyed having my children attend.

Posted by a parent on 11/3/2015This is more of an informational comment, than a review. This site lists the incorrect principal for this school, so I was adding the correction. The actual principal of Sacajawea Elementary in Richland, WA, is Joe Jisa, as of today's date and school year, October 5, 2014, school year 2014-2015. He has actually been the principal here for the past quite a few years. My oldest son went there from 1st-5th grades, is now 17 years old, and now my youngest has gone there from K-4th grades (currently attending). Mr. Jisa has been the principal all of these years, excluding one year (and I'm unable to recall who it was for the one year, or which year if was even - my apologies!), but he's been there since both my boys have attended (minus the one year hiatus). Hope this site gets this info corrected soon. Thank you!

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur kid’s elementary years were single-handedly ruined by a teacher. We consulted the principle, and while some initial progress was made, the teacher’s continued attitude of having it out for him continued, and the principal was indifferent towards the situation. We believe he was singled out for several years and given unfair treatment.Parent Review11mo ago - Jefferson Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageA student and mother from this school (Liberty sticker on the back of their green minivan) openly mocked my family for wearing a mask while in a drive-thru. They went so far as to pull up next to us and roll down their window and cough in our direction. The curriculum here obviously does not include any teachings in public decency or public health.Other Review3y ago - Christ the King School
