8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhat an excellent middle school. It is one of the smallest in the district, perhaps the smallest. The teachers really know the students they are teaching. When our daughter was there, the principal knew every student by name and she spent time walking around and talking to the students. It is a very caring environment that is very nurturing to students. The librarian offers a wonderful environment with books but also a maker space at lunch time that students enjoy. After school sports sports are fun and engaging and many of the kids love participating in theatre. We are so fortunate to have this wonderful middle school in our community.Parent Review11mo ago - Lake Washington High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is our first year at Lakeview after having moved quite a bit in the last few years, so we've had the unique opportunity of comparing it to three other public elementary schools across our multiple children. The school is well organized with a healthy PTA that provides for family engagement and social events. I'm also happy with the level of volunteer opportunities to be involved and engaged as a parent. I was surprised to learn that art was not funded this year though. I can't say enough wonderful things about the team behind Special Education here. We attempted to establish an IEP for our oldest at a previous school and felt dismissed in the process. We came in to this school with a private assessment and I felt were immediately given priority. The team was extremely thorough at communicating and setting up meetings and creating the parameters around new accommodations. My children are thriving in this environment.Parent Review2mo ago - Check out schools near 118 8th Ln #118.
