Lakeview Elementary School

This is our first year at Lakeview after having moved quite a bit in the last few years, so we've had the unique opportunity of comparing it to three other public elementary schools across our multiple children. The school is well organized with a healthy PTA that provides for family engagement and social events. I'm also happy with the level of volunteer opportunities to be involved and engaged as a parent. I was surprised to learn that art was not funded this year though. I can't say enough wonderful things about the team behind Special Education here. We attempted to establish an IEP for our oldest at a previous school and felt dismissed in the process. We came in to this school with a private assessment and I felt were immediately given priority. The team was extremely thorough at communicating and setting up meetings and creating the parameters around new accommodations. My children are thriving in this environment.

My third child to go to Lakeview and their last year. Principals, teachers, counselors, office staff, extended programs and personnel, music, other programs... all have been excellent in my experience and opinion. We've had some ups and downs and my children all progressed positively from beginning to end emotionally and education-wise. Teachers are engaged and communicate very well with families. I'm thankful for my kids to experience Lakeview.
