4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son started Cameron in Kindergarten. He's finishing 4th grade right now. We both really love the experiences he's had at the school, and all of his teachers have been EXCELLENT. It's a shame the school's rating on this site is as low as it is, because it leaves the false impression that they don't provide a high-quality education for the students, which couldn't be more wrong. The school is also really diverse, so it provides a great environment for students to get to know and become friends with other kids from different ethnicities, countries, and cultures. My guess as to why the test scores aren't higher is because quite a few of the students (and their families) don't speak English as their first language, which might cause some communication and understanding difficulties. But it's certainly not because the teachers are of low quality. They have been friendly, patient, and caring every year so far. And the extracurricular activities organized by the PTA (Back to School night, Open House, International Nights, etc.) are a blast! Go Cobras!!! :)Parent Review3y ago - Edison High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was a student at Edison from 2015 to 2019 and I had a great time there. I had supportive teachers and counselors. Overall, Edison is a great school and I recommend this school to my fellow people.Other Review6mo ago - Twain Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIn my opinion, it's the best schools and it's really fun to learn because the teachers are always trying their best to support you in learning. but in a fun way. there is no bullying or making fun of one another which is why i like it. there is no no homework. there is only classwork and if you didn't finish the teacher will tell you to don't stress about it. like they are making everything so easy in a friendly way. again in my opinion it's the best school!!!Student Review5mo ago - Check out schools near 2451 Midtown Ave #804.

"None that I know off. You have to go to Old Town which is 1-1/2 to 2 miles away for community events (and for a weekly Saturday Farmer’s Market asked about in earlier question)."

"Although there are nice parks where I live, most of the family friendly neighborhoods reside in an enclosed neighborhood called Cameron Station. There is a beautiful library and it's close to Van Dorn Metro. There is a lot of traffic and some have pockets that are unsafe. The area is not pedestrian friendly. Lots of dog parks. Not stroller friendly. Eisenhower seems to have the least amount of crime but it is a busy street during the day. LA Mart is a great source for Asian groceries. The area has almost everything you need in a short distance. Schools aren't rated the best."

"Lots of open grass areas within walking distance and all well lit and frequented by many locals makes it a safe and convenient neighborhood for dog owners. Most properties including townhomes in this area also include fenced-in backyards which provide relief during the day or while away; most townhome communities also have common grassy areas for homeowners to use."
