The school is riddled with gang violence and drug usage from drugs being sold in the school around the school and infrontbof cameras I've witnessed it first handbot to mention the penalty for this is suspension not expulsion school police is useless and bullying is a common practice because no one chooses to do anything to weed out the bad students.

There are amazing things happening at Forest Park that a lot of people don’t even realize. Transformation of the Forest Park they used to know started when Principal Mouzone took over. She not only challenges the students to do better but she challenges her entire staff, families and the community. She lets us know daily that this change can only continue to occur when as a team work together for the greater good, our students. They are excelling in academics, sports, service to others to become the global citizens we want them to be.

I am a recent alum of the school and still traumatized to this day. I am a black male and the bullying that goes on here is outrageous. The teachers watch and don't do anything. Academically the school was okay, but the kids are off the chain. A lot of them are already sexually active and unruly. The students criticize and bully any boy who does not walk in with $150-$200 pair of shoes. There was a girl who got jumped by older kids right outside of the school. She came to school the next day with her eye completely shut. This school will cause a kid and an adult to be scarred for life. The infrastructure around the school tells a story in itself. There aren't even basketball hoops on the court even though I am told by an older alum that there were before. This school is not good for a child's development. Do not bring your child here.

The school is unable too make the children learn. Those of us who do attempt too learn? We cannot, due too other students. The teachers here try, but fail. The student only listen to those they want too, and if not? You won’t learn. I’ve been too many schools in another state, and NEVER have I had such a bad educational experience. I’ve been bullied at one school, but I’d go back: because at least I learned at that school. Also- the student have vapes, and other things? How does that get passed teachers who check bags? Anyway- I was also extremely disappointed too know my education is being mishandled here, because of my peers. I used too have a 4.23 gpa, now I’m unsure what I have. But, I know it’s low. I’m unable too learn, and it’s extremely frustrating. We read a book once? I finished it under an hour. Another book? I read at my old school MONTHS ago. This school is so far behind, and discipline isn’t helping.Do NOT send a child who is academically strong, to this school. It’ll ruin them. Like it’s done too me.

There isn’t much offered here… The AP courses listed here are inaccurate, we only have AP Gov, AP Calc, AP Seminar/Research, AP psychology, & AP Stats. The teachers aren’t terrible at all, some of them are great at doing lessons, but the school can’t keep teachers for long… I didn’t even have a math teacher Sophomore year… We had a substitute all year long. Then Junior year my math teacher quit within the first 3 months… My stats: I scored a 1000+ on the SAT, and had a 3.5+ GPA and was top 10 within my class… I was on track with College level English/Writing but wasn't prepared for College math. I wouldn’t recommend this school unless it was a last resort. Even though I got good grades and succeeded I didn’t learn much. School environment isn’t the safest… Guns were found, people were stabbed.. There were shootings around the school, and we were on lockdown every other week.

As students in the 2023–2024 school year, my sister and I feel that some teachers (of course, not all) are poor at teaching. Some are too focused on seating or uniforms (or even their own egos) rather than student education. Some even seem to not know the subject they are teaching or how to teach it. This is very worrying to me personally because I know I deserve a good education. Of course, there are some disruptive students. However, some students get sent out without good reason. These students don't even get a minute to explain themselves, and I think we deserve to be listened to, even outside of a situation like this. As for the bathroom, almost every teacher that I've had has a "go in your next class" or "Why didn't you go in your last class" mentality. This goes around in circles. If every teacher thinks this, there will never be a time to go to the bathroom. Additionally, the (female) bathroom downstairs is terribly small, and, from what I've experienced, the upstairs one, which is much bigger, is locked most of the time. The thing I do like about this school is duel enrollment. I think it's great that I could get out of college early by taking courses in high school. However, I do wish that there were more courses. I hope that this helps some parents.
