5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageParents, be aware! This is the school where the principal allows students, after physically assaulting another student at school, and being arrested, to go on field the trip and participate in other festive activities. This school has no rules or plans for how to help or support the victim. Teachers are without compassion, understanding, and lenience to victims. This school teaches everyone on the honors level, with different levels. Unfortunately, parents are not fully informed which level the child is in. This school has double standards, different students are treated differently. My biggest regret is that my son won the lottery and became a student at Scofield Magnet School. This is a highly praised school, which in reality has a lot of hidden problems. Parents pay close attention to your children. If your child is bullied or assaulted, regretfully, neither the school nor the law will protect or help your child. Unfortunately, the law protects only assaulters if they are minors.Parent Review6mo ago - Stamford High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSHS is a good school with very good teachers. It's sad that it has such a low rating on this website. They are a very diverse population, and that is not a negative thing.Parent Review6y ago - Westhill High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have been a Westover family since 2018 and now have two children there: one in 1st grade and one in 4th. The administrators and teachers are incredibly dedicated and our children are thriving in their classes. They care deeply about the students and really work to build direct connections with all Westover families. The school itself has a specialty focus on the arts - think music, drama, dance, problem solving, media/tech, and art - making it a standout when so many other schools have moved to reduce or cut those programs from their curriculums. Additionally, even though it's one of the largest elementary schools in Stamford, there's a real sense of community here. Post-COVID, the school has offered so many opportunities for families to get involved - it's really refreshing, and I hope it only continues. Note that Westover is a magnet school and therefore, most parents have to apply for their child(ren) to attend through the city's annual school lottery process. It's highly competitive and a coveted school to attend, so spots go quickly.Parent Review1y ago - Rippowam Middle School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers are amazing. I made some friends which is great. However, there are so many out of control kids that constantly make me not want to go here because most of class is disrupted by them. Great potential if those kids were under control or out of school. -7th grade studentStudent Review8y ago - Check out schools near 268 W Broad St.

"This place will rob you blind. They do a sloppy job when building. Also, who wants to overlook public housing? All the trash, tires, ironing boards thrown all over the place. Perhaps wait for the trees to grow and cover it up. Not a good investment!"
