Local pride is always on display, as are scenes of classic Americana at every town parade, little league game and celebration on the famous Village Green. Where else do the buildings at the heart of your village predated the Declaration of Independence? And citizens buried in the village cemetery since the early 1600's would easily recognize their surroundings to this day? And historic tours offered to visit neighborhood homes such as that of founding father John Jay? All of this history blends beautifully with an ever blossoming and sought after school system and spectacular public parks, athletic fields, town swimming pools, and the famous Bedford Riding Lanes Association. The definition of classic "horse country" where anyone can easily see foals playing each spring and often share the road with four-hooved vehicles throughout the seasons. Opportunities to hike on nature trails, see abundant wildlife and bring man's best friend along as you go are endless.
