2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSo I’m a student here at prairie and there’s a lot to unpack. There is absolutely no punishment for kids who bully, fight, harass, etc. Of course there’s the usual suspension but when they come back they go right back to behaving the same way and the teachers make no note of it and it seems like they don’t care about how much those students hurt others. The teachers at this school can be fun but there are some that need to be corrected. I got sorta insulted by a teacher for me stuttering. But overall they’re okay. The things they teach you are accurate (as any school) so I feel it’s kinda normal. One thing is the food. I either starve or just pack my own because the food there is absolute garbage. I would rather just go hungry then eat that excuse for a meal.Overall 3/10 I wish I changed schools.Student Review8mo ago - Village East Community Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAbout the worst possible school I could ever have the bad luck of dealing with. Incompetent teachers, terrible administration, bullying, violence, lack of adequate facilities for all classrooms. A complete joke if a school that would do more good shut down than open, seriously. I pulled my son out and moved schools, it was so horrifyingly dysfunctional there! Do NOT send your precious children to this place!!!Parent Review1y ago - Overland High School

"It’s a dangerous place. Gunshots, helicopters, SWAT teams, high people in the park, police raids every weekend. "

"A lot of dog owners and everyone is good at keeping their dog on leash or in their yard. There are cats that live in the neighborhood and none of the dogs have attacked or harmed any of them in the 2 years I’ve been here. "

"Easy trails, small creek and lots of green parks with mature trees. Very peaceful yet plenty of young fun families that like to be outdoors. "

"Dog owners are everywhere! Very friendly, most people pick up after their dogs. Very few off leash. "
- Thomas Greene

"They would like the walkability and the access to all of the different parks and resources. They would also love how dog friendly mostly everywhere is. However, they would not like the amount of dog waste that is left in some places (left unattended, it prevents other dogs from wanting to “go potty” in those areas)"

"I used to love this neighborhood, but it has gone downhill the past couple of years. If I had children, I would not feel comfortable letting them play in the front yard due to cars consistently driving over the speed limit. "

"It’s very welcoming community, is the city, so you’re going to find that trash bins in your alleyway sometimes, however, the sense of family in the community is strong. Parents play with their kids in the park, people will gather for outdoor activities, jog, play with their dogs. For me, it’s a perfect blend. Just outside the mischief, but close enough when you need it."
