Read what parents are saying about Village East Community Elementary SchoolAbout the worst possible school I could ever have the bad luck of dealing with. Incompetent teachers, terrible administration, bullying, violence, lack of adequate facilities for all classrooms. A complete joke if a school that would do more good shut down than open, seriously. I pulled my son out and moved schools, it was so horrifyingly dysfunctional there! Do NOT send your precious children to this place!!!
Posted by a parent on 1/13/2023From day one, this school was horrifying. Out of control kids, terrible teachers that don't care, always have subs, eat Starbucks in front of kids on free-lunches all day, treat the kids like they are worthless and burdens, waste tons of learning time on nonsense, out of control classrooms, no oversight, mistakes on important curriculum lessons never addressed, push politics, promotes unhealthy eating and lifestyle habbits... it's just ungodly how many issues this school has. It needs to be shut down, honestly. My child will never go back, we moved so he could go to a real school, that is safe and teaches properly. Do not let your child go here!
Posted by a parent on 5/27/2022I love these teachers! They work hard and my kids have had a great experience at Village East!
Posted by a parent on 10/15/2017Over crowded. We also feel like most of the teachers don't care. Also we do not like that there is a sub every week....
Posted by a parent on 5/12/2016This school is terrible. We were told we were going to be in one of the best school districts in CO. I hope that means the rest of the Cherry Creek schools far surpass this one. Our daughter was being inappropriately harassed by a boy classmate and when the teacher tried to get to the bottom of the problem, the parents blamed the teacher for their son's behavior- he's 10 years old and in 4th grade! My son was spit on and bullied by his classmates almost daily. The children here are so poorly behaved that no learning takes place here. I pulled my children out of there and homeschool them until we can move to an area with a school with children who are actually parented! They are learning so much more at home with me than they ever did at Village East. Don't send your kids here if you actually care about them and their education!

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is a great place to be. As of this writing, I am halfway through my 8th grade year, and I am learning so many things. Big shoutout to Mrs. Eggleston for teaching us algebra in an interesting way. The location is a little out of the way, and a bit cumbersome to deal with if you have children in other schools. The teachers are good at their jobs. We are the only school in the district that does science fair for 7th and 8th graders. There is, however, like a lot of middle schools, some slurs and derogatory comments on one's identity, albeit on a much smaller scale, because this school is tiny. Everyone knows almost everyone, and this creates some pretty nasty friend groups. From what I can see, we don't have a lot of suspensions, and our counselor, Miss Puchino, is available to meet with people and help them through the difficult times of hormones and middle school. The administration is nice and doesn't outright shut down crazy ideas, like a radio control airplane show for continuation. All in all, I would recommend this school.Student Review3mo ago - Highline Community Elementary School
