"Lots of construction going on currently for the planned light rail stop in 2021 or 2022 in Northgate. Morning commute can be blocked at times, so be prepared to account for an extra 5-10 minutes you need to add to your commute sometimes."

"Much like the rest of Seattle, streets are narrow, parking is limited, it’s incredibly dense. Not every part of this area has sidewalks. Use caution when walking out past dark."

"I’ve lived here for two years now and love it! Everything you need is super close and you’re close enough to the main city that driving in is easy, but your tucked away from all the hecticness. Perfect neighborhood to take relaxing walks with your dog, regardless the hour. "

"I've lived in Maple Leaf for over 10 yrs. It's in the middle of every where. Walking or biking down to Greenlake. Express Lane entrance and exit to/from Downtown. 99 is just down the hill. 1 exit from 520. Local streets to UW, U Village, Ballard, Fremont, Northgate, Lakecity. Bike lanes, Parks, and family friendly restaurants all around."

"I lived here for two years and loved it! Great location, I can always find street parking and never had an issue with the two years I parked my car on the street. You can easily walk to the lake and also to Northgate mall and Thornton Place Regal cinema."

"I've lived in this area for 12 years, and now it's the "in spot" of North Seattle. It's less expensive and less crowded than Wallingford or Fremont or Ballard, so buy a house soon, before N. Maple Leaf is really discovered !"

"I'd love to live in this area - there are boutique shops, excellent bus service, and it's so green ! Indeed, Northgate has been transformed into a trendy, chic part of the city !"

"The Maple Leaf area is very family friendly. The local shops do a wonderful job of supporting the community. If you want big corporate chains, the Northgate Mall is reachable on foot in as little as 10 minutes...where you'll also find the Northgate Metro Transit center. "

This school is a place where the kids really SHINE!As a magnet Special Education school, 40% of the school population receives SpEd services. The administration and community have built something truly inclusive and incredible, bridging the gaps between abilities and ages with the Buddy Program - where each student is assigned a “Nest” classroom with kids of varying grades and abilities, and “Buddies” who are either older or younger depending on grade. My kids’ favorite days each month are Buddy Days!My children have thrived in this neuroaffirming environment with a community that prides itself on its diversity and inclusivity.Sacajawea is truly a treasure.Parent Review1y ago17 Reviews - Fairview Christian School

The class sizes are small with a hands on learning style. The teachers are top notch and very invested in the childrens' well being. Definitely a school worth considering for infant - 8th grade.Parent Review8y ago15 Reviews - St Catherine School
