They have upgraded one of the playgrounds for the little guys and its AWESOME! Every morning we are greeted by the Administrative staff with cups of coffee to head out the door with. What a fun touch

Within just six months, both of my sons became fluent in English, which was an amazing achievement and a life-changing experience for our family.It has been almost three years since we left Seattle and moved to Philadelphia, yet both of my sons still remember Green Lake Elementary School with great love and appreciation. Ms. Nash (Rachel) continues to stay in touch with my son, and as a parent, this means so much to me. This school is a place where the kids really SHINE!As a magnet Special Education school, 40% of the school population receives SpEd services. The administration and community have built something truly inclusive and incredible, bridging the gaps between abilities and ages with the Buddy Program - where each student is assigned a “Nest” classroom with kids of varying grades and abilities, and “Buddies” who are either older or younger depending on grade.
