3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is one of the worst Chesapeake public schools we have attended. Since day, one administration has been the worst. They do not take care of bullying at all. The kids behaviors are out of control. If you’re wanting an elementary school, they’re way better ones in the Chesapeake system.Parent Review2mo ago11 Reviews - Norfolk Highlands Primary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter started Kindergarten during the Pandemic online and she has thrived even under those conditions! She is headed to the 3rd grade and reads above grade level. Each year her teacher inspires her to keep reading and growing! She has been invited to the Summer Enrichment program for the last two years! We LOVE everything about T.M.E.!!!Parent Review2y ago3 Reviews - College Park Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy children have attended Woodstock since my eldest was in 1st grade, four years ago. We were so pleased our first year as our experience matched the school's reputation. But over the last three years myself and other parents have seen a discouraging shift. The quality of education has slipped. Some of the best teachers have left the school. The teachers that have replaced the former teachers communicate less, are less patient, and the curriculum is sub par. The leadership at the school is untrustworthy and is partially the reason why many of the veteran teachers have left. These are not simply my experience, but the experience of at least two dozen parents that I've spoken with over the last three years. We were hopeful that once things stabilized post covid that the education would return to a better standard. It has not. If I could I would home school or send my children to private school, not Woodstock. Not with the current leadership there. My wife and I, like other parents, are very concerned about what middle school has to offer. We've heard too many unfortunate stories about that experience.Parent Review3y ago12 Reviews - Providence Christian School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am the parent of 2 children who attended Saint Matthew's from 6th through 8th grade. I can not say enough good things about the experience. Everyone from the principal to the custodial staff are caring and devoted people. My children were held to a high academic standard as well as being reminded in everything that they did that respect for one's self and respect for others was expected at all times. Besides the strong academics, they were exposed to art, music, computer science, and an exceptionally good theater program. The teachers and the staff are fantastic at keeping you updated on what is happening with your child, as well as what is going on at school. Both of my kids continue to excel academically and I know that part of the reason for that is their time at Saint Matthew's.Parent Review2y ago14 Reviews
