"I’m retired but there is a lot of traffic on main roads. There’s no public transit so you always use your own vehicle. Lots of road construction too. It never ends. "
  • Trulia User
"There are many dog owners in this part of the area. People are always out with their dogs, and some of the neighborhood kids love walking everyone’s dogs, and they are great at it!!"
  • Silverglam
"Just moved in but close the restaurants, shopping and attractions. Most about 7 miles away. Traffic is not bad either."
  • Trevor R.
"No public transportation. But when you can get places, it's beautiful here. Calm, private, very relaxed, laid back. it's a place to live and retire."
  • Freckledgrrlie
"I'm visiting, but this neighborhood and surrounds are clean, well-maintained, plenty of quality shopping and services nearby, and very close to the water. I would move here if I were widowed. "

"Anywhere on the peninsula can have fairly quick commute times. Here you can easily hop on the highway to get where you need to go, or you can take the scenic route to Williamsburg. Very easy to get around."

"Traffic is never at a stand still very beautiful place to visit. Seems quite but I’m here for school "
  • Mattowens88
"Generally traffic is not bad. Rush hour can be a little heavy, and so can vacation traffic on weekends. There are four major routes along the peninsula and wrecks on any of them can really snarl things up."
  • Mattowens88
"Great schools, good people. Very inclusive and welcoming. Large military presence. We have been very comfortable here. Excellent youth support - Scouts, YMCA, schools, and amazing history all around you."
  • Karina I.
"I have no idea. Don’t have a dog. But definitely plenty of space to walk them and the weather is great almost all year round. "
  • Jd004.jd
"We have neighborhood picnics, every Halloween there is a costume parade in the neighborhood led by a York County Sherifs vehicle. We have a community yard sale twice a year. "
  • Jd004.jd
"There are dogs being walked all the time throughout the neighborhood. Everyone picks up after their dogs and there are 3 main loops through the neighborhood so it’s easy to make your way back to your house. "
  • Paul C.
"There is no public transportation. Don’t expect to get anywhere if you don’t have a car or take and Uber."
  • Melanie T.
"Neighbors are nosy and way too into everyone else’s business. This is just York Crossing. I lived in Coventry neighborhood... it was awesome! "
  • Travis W.
"The city center is right down the street they have events every night of the week. Always something different to do"
  • Jasmine E.
"It actually sucks here and I don’t think anyone with a decently sized family should live here. If you’re a young couple, give it a shot. There’s nothing special about it the neighborhood and the rents too high. "
  • Charica7514
"Nice place to live. Lively with children, but not too loud. Don’t have a complaint about the neighborhood. We enjoy it very much. Trick or treating for all ages."

"The neighborhood is dog friendly. It seems as though all of my neighbors have dogs. I see them walking them and yes they do pick up their pet’s poop with the supplied bags. They then toss them in the provided trash bin."
  • Trevor R.
