8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy 6 yr old started this year and she's as happy as she can be. I did a video with her teacher today so I could meet her and go over my daughter's progress. They always include parents and continuously try to encourage parents to join the PTA. My daughter was being picked on be another little girl and the teacher took care of the problem and there has been no more issues not to mention the protective crossing guard.....Parent Review2y ago9 Reviews - Cedar Road Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur experience at Cedar Road Elementary School has been a nightmare. The data on the U.S. Department of Education website tells a concerning story: test scores are declining, enrollment is increasing, disciplinary actions are rising, and per-pupil spending is lower than both the district and state averages.Beyond the numbers, there appears to be significant teacher turnover and an administrative culture that focuses more on punishment and documenting student shortcomings than on supporting growth and success.Parent Review1mo ago14 Reviews - Deep Creek Central Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDeep Creek Central Elementary is an outstanding school! The teachers are truly wonderful—dedicated, caring, and always going the extra mile to ensure each child thrives. The school creates a warm and welcoming environment where students feel supported and excited to learn. The staff is attentive to both academic and personal development, and the community spirit is strong.Additionally, the sheriff on staff is incredibly kind, and our children really liked her. We always felt very safe knowing that the security team was there, keeping the environment secure and peaceful. The family engagement events were also a highlight—they were fun, well-organized, and gave us the opportunity to get a firsthand look at the classroom and meet the friends our kids talk about. We couldn't be happier with our experience at Deep Creek Central and highly recommend it to any family looking for a top-notch education and a safe, nurturing environment for their children. They also provide support for active duty military families and that has been great for our family.Parent Review1y ago13 Reviews - Grassfield Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI do not recommend this school. Everyone claims this is a great school but it is not. I have spoken to many other parents who also feel that the school does not have the students' best interests at heart and the administration would rather students be injured or embarrassed than be helped and show kindness. The principal doesn't like young children behaving as children and the teachers are so overly focused on SPED students they ignore non-sped.When students are injured by other students the victim is blamed.Do not believe the 8/10 rating, it is heavily inaccurate to the reality of the school.Teacher Review1y ago14 Reviews - Cedar Road Christian Academy

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy children attended CRCA from Pre-K to 1st grade, and unfortunately, their transition to public school was extremely difficult. I initially thought they were doing well academically since I never received negative feedback during parent-teacher conferences, and their report cards were always good. However, I was blindsided when, during the last week of school, my preschooler’s teacher suddenly informed me of multiple issues—far too late to address them. When I questioned this, I was told it was due to teacher turnover and differences in teaching styles.Frequent staff changes were a major problem. Teachers were constantly being fired or leaving, making it difficult for students to adjust and maintain academic progress. Despite the smaller class sizes and supposed one-on-one attention, my children were significantly behind when they entered public school, struggling both academically and with the larger classroom environment. While I appreciated the school’s small, family-oriented atmosphere, the education was severely lacking. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this school.Parent Review1y ago19 Reviews - Faith Diamond Christian Academy
