"Grassy areas and many side walks. Houses are too close together so some dogs might be loud. Otherwise they would love it!"

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe would take our kids to any school in the city over great bridge primary! The principal is the rudest, self absorbed man. He talks over parents and teachers and acts on his own pride. We've seen some great teachers leave the last two years because of him. Our older kids had a great experience here not many years ago. This school should have better leaders here in Great bridgeParent Review3mo ago10 Reviews - Cedar Road Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur experience at Cedar Road Elementary School has been a nightmare. The data on the U.S. Department of Education website tells a concerning story: test scores are declining, enrollment is increasing, disciplinary actions are rising, and per-pupil spending is lower than both the district and state averages.Beyond the numbers, there appears to be significant teacher turnover and an administrative culture that focuses more on punishment and documenting student shortcomings than on supporting growth and success.Parent Review2mo ago14 Reviews - A World Of Children

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have NEVER been happier with any other childcare my son has attended. I have had so many issues finding a trustworthy childcare that would look after my son as I would. And FINALLY I have found that and more! I am currently pregnant with my second child and I guarantee he will be attending this childcare as well! Its like dropping your child off with family every day! :)Parent Review9y ago14 Reviews - Mount Lebanon Christian Academy

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy children attended CRCA from Pre-K to 1st grade, and unfortunately, their transition to public school was extremely difficult. I initially thought they were doing well academically since I never received negative feedback during parent-teacher conferences, and their report cards were always good. However, I was blindsided when, during the last week of school, my preschooler’s teacher suddenly informed me of multiple issues—far too late to address them. When I questioned this, I was told it was due to teacher turnover and differences in teaching styles.Frequent staff changes were a major problem. Teachers were constantly being fired or leaving, making it difficult for students to adjust and maintain academic progress. Despite the smaller class sizes and supposed one-on-one attention, my children were significantly behind when they entered public school, struggling both academically and with the larger classroom environment. While I appreciated the school’s small, family-oriented atmosphere, the education was severely lacking. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this school.Parent Review1y ago19 Reviews - The Goddard School (Chesapeake)

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI pulled my daughter out by early November last year. There were issues with exclusion towards my daughter by 3 of the other girls. We also had another outside activity with these girls plus the teacher of the preschool and the cruel treatment was not hard to see. Noticed even by the outside instructor who had all the girls together and admitted how awful the girls behaved towards her. Spoke with the other parent plus the preschool teacher of my daughter. The teacher said multiple times that there were no issues but clearly there were. Seen by myself and the outside instructor to the activity the girls were also in. Also spoke to the other parent who admitted she wouldn’t have her child apologize because she didn’t think her daughter would mean it and she shouldn’t have her do it that way. Great parenting, no wonder. It was a complete fail for the teacher to not address the mean girl behavior. However, the teacher and her kids plus the other mom with her kid were friends so that explains a lot. When I met with the person in charge she had little sympathy and simply explained it as, “it’s the age” & that it’s a part of growing up for the kids. Unbelievable. No wonder there are so many issues with kids as they grow up in schools. So unhealthy. She didn’t even suggest the idea of placing my daughter in a different class. Just that it was normal to happen. Again, wow! It took a few months after pulling my daughter out to rebuild her confidence by involving her around better more inclusive people and kids. Wish I hadn’t even enrolled her there. Maybe other classes are better but the management was awful. Big regret. On a more positive note the other teachers seemed nice and the school was clean. They did a good job making it appear wonderful at the open house. Can’t say it seemed incredibly safe with other side door access and didn’t love the drop of/ pick up chaos.Parent Review2y ago20 Reviews
