"Cars drive fast. Kids play in the road, only about half aware that cars could be a danger. Solicitors come to neighborhood “strangers” need to be mindful that people that don’t live in neighborhood do come in area. "

"Everyone seems to have dogs. Most homes have fenced yards for safety as well as privacy. Many parks already have dog access areas while leashed dogs are permitted in all parks. Just remember to always be a responsible fur parent and clean up after your fur babies!"

"No public transportation is close to me. Would probably have to walk a mile to get to a bus stop. I think all these neighborhoods should have at east one bus stop."

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter was in the Pre-K program and I can only speak to our experience with that program. I have 5 children and she is the youngest. This was by far the worst experience my family has had with a school . This school should NOT be funded for the Ealey Education Program as they are ill-equipped. The “rooms” are very small, dark and actually depressing trailers in the back of the school. There is no Dramatic Play areas for the children and very little room for them to move around. This school ignores the vast majority of research in early childhood education that shows kids gain knowledge through their experiences rather than having it spoon-fed to them by an adult. This school does not encourage exploration and discovery. They DO NOT provide rich hands-on learning opportunities to stimulate deeper understanding by asking probing questions. Play is not encouraged or tolerated; 4-year-olds must sit still and listen (they are expected to sit quietly for more than 15 to 20 minutes at a time) when their brains are wired to explore, their bodies are eager to move, and their verbal skills are ready to be unleashed. If a Pre-K student is being disciplined, teachers take away recess or outside time as a punishment. This is extremely harmful to a child in this age group and only leads to worst behavior. Activities never change or don’t hold children’s interest. When my child was at this school, I was called daily to report behavior problems. We tried to work with the teacher and staff but there was no empathy or consideration for her and the situation was actually causing her to digress and start to have tantrums (she never had them prior to attending the school). We decided to remove her from the school and place her in a private school. The 1st day at her new school, I was so worried I would receive a call. Nothing! I never received calls with bad behavior reports from the new school. During the parent teacher meeting, there were NO reported behavior concerns and she actually was moved to the highest reading and math level groups. The experience was a complete 180! Tragically, the very things that many uninformed parents desire in a preschool are the very things that are most harmful to their kids. I feel so sad for parents who have to send their child to this school and don't have the ability to look for an alternative.Parent Review5y ago6 Reviews - Deep Creek Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe've had a wonderful experience at Deep Creek Elementary School so far. My daughter just finished Kindergarten and I can't say enough good things about her teacher and teaching assistant. They were absolutely incredible. They created fun, engaging learning activities that helped the kids grow both academically and socially. We had great communication all year and parents always knew what was going on with their child. From day one, the entire staff has been so kind and welcoming. The school truly goes out of their way to get parents involved and even honors military families. I always felt like my child was genuinely cared for and supported. We're so grateful to be part of such a special school!Parent Review9mo ago19 Reviews - G.A. Treakle Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy 6 yr old started this year and she's as happy as she can be. I did a video with her teacher today so I could meet her and go over my daughter's progress. They always include parents and continuously try to encourage parents to join the PTA. My daughter was being picked on be another little girl and the teacher took care of the problem and there has been no more issues not to mention the protective crossing guard.....Parent Review2y ago9 Reviews - Faith Diamond Christian Academy

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is excellent! The staff is very welcoming and family oriented. Parents are always welcome to drop in and volunteer at any time. The student teacher ratio is low, allowing teachers the opportunity to give one on one assistance when needed. Students are constantly challenged and encouraged to reach their fullest potential. Thanks to the wonderful K4 teacher, my child was reading full books at the age of 4. The director is very hands on and truly loves children. Most importantly, the school provides a loving christian environment and teaches the children daily about God. If I could give more stars - I would! Give them a call and see for yourself :)Parent Review15y ago1 Reviews
