9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageCaraway is a hidden gem tucked away in the area. The other schools in the area have over double the students. You can not put a price on smaller class sizes and the environment of everyone knowing everyone. Caraway is a small and nurturing school. Academics are great but not too much pressure so the kids can still be kids (an issue friends from neighboring schools are having). They have chickens and goats that the kids help take care of. I cannot recommend enough.Parent Review2mo ago23 Reviews - Laurel Mountain Elementary School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageConcerns persist about the safety of the playground at Green Belt, where children often play amidst potential hazards. The area is known for its population of poisonous snakes and lizards, posing a significant risk to young adventurers. Compounding the issue, supervision by teachers is notably lax, leaving children vulnerable to accidents and injury.Incidents are frequently addressed re-actively, with emergency services summoned only after an unfortunate event occurs. The playground itself is strewn with stones and rocks, creating a hazardous environment where children are left unsupervised. This lack of oversight increases the likelihood of accidents, whether through falls or the actions of other students, who may inadvertently or intentionally cause harm.Despite repeated concerns raised by parents and caregivers, the school remains steadfast in its reluctance to amend its policies regarding supervision and playground safety. While advocating for independence in play, the current setup jeopardizes the well-being of young learners, potentially resulting in severe injuries such as eye damage from errant stones or getting bitten by a poisonous snake. Since my kids have been in the school I have heard of 4-5 serious stone injuries.Addressing these safety concerns is paramount to ensuring a secure and nurturing environment for all students. Proactive measures, including enhanced supervision and the removal of hazardous materials from the playground, are essential steps towards safeguarding the well-being of our children.Other Review2y ago11 Reviews - Hill Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a happy parents at Hill. Though, one major problem is homework. Me and my family feel that homework shouldn't be needed in elementary school. Children maybe be stressed, or may just not feel confident doing it themselves. One other problem is the school is majorly crowded, and the lunchrooms are really loud and and messy. I've seen lunch monitors put the table cleaner on the floor and re-use it. Other then that, this school is great and the teachers are really interactive.Parent Review3y ago30 Reviews - Pillow Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI honestly expected so much better from this school. They don’t even have crossing guards every day only on certain days which makes it unsafe for our kids to walk to and from school. It feels like the staff doesn’t truly care about the children’s education or well-being. As a parent, I’ve had to constantly stay on them just to make sure my child is getting the attention and support he deserves.Communication is absolutely terrible. I’ve waited days just to get a simple call back, and right now I’m still waiting to hear from the front office about whether my son left any of his personal items behind. It’s like no one really knows what’s going on or wants to take responsibility. What’s even more upsetting is that it truly feels like if you’re not of Hispanic background, your child won’t get the same level of attention or care. That’s heartbreaking and unfair. Every child should be treated equally and made to feel seen, valued, and supported not ignored unless a parent constantly speaks up.I’m extremely disappointed and wouldn’t recommend this school to any parent who wants consistent communication, fairness, and a safe, caring environment for their child.Parent Review7mo ago31 Reviews - Davis Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWith two kiddos in this school, I feel so confident saying this school is doing so much right. The teachers are quality, caring and dedicated. The administrators are always will to listen, grow and hear from families and teachers. It’s a wonderful community to be a part of!Parent Review4w ago45 Reviews - Austin Classical School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageA school that focuses more on politics and its own image more than it does the staff or its students. If you want a christian education, that is, a GOOD christian education, then this is not the place to go. I entered this school a dedicated christian and left an atheist due to the extreme ideologies some of the staff members and students had. I felt unloved and excluded from everything. There are few teachers there who really did care about what they taught and their students, but are quickly fired or leave due to the hateful environment this school provides. With little to no diversity, you're getting an extremely biased education and social life.Other Review3y ago2 Reviews
