Posted by a parent on 9/9/2019We had 3 kids go through Casner and we truly fell in love with the school, teachers and community. It is an amazing place to start your kids journey in education, love of country and learning.

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHappy, positive climate. This school teaches so much more than the basics, and there are plenty of optional clubs, contests, and after school activities. The teachers are nothing short of phenomenal and most are very experienced--- and fun and kind to boot. Lots of opportunities for parents to be involved; staff are warm and welcoming of parental involvement.Parent Review1y ago - Gullett Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI can't say enough good things about Gullett. The entire experience is one of engagement and togetherness. My kids love it. The teachers are, shockingly, happy and engaged as well. I feel lucky we found it and lucky our kids get to go there.Parent Review1mo ago - Hill Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a happy parents at Hill. Though, one major problem is homework. Me and my family feel that homework shouldn't be needed in elementary school. Children maybe be stressed, or may just not feel confident doing it themselves. One other problem is the school is majorly crowded, and the lunchrooms are really loud and and messy. I've seen lunch monitors put the table cleaner on the floor and re-use it. Other then that, this school is great and the teachers are really interactive.Parent Review1y ago - Pillow Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe current STAAR rating for this school is an ""F." I was a teacher at this school for many years. I've had a lot of support from principals that were professional and had great leadership qualities. For there to be an improvement in the rating, there must be a change in the current principal at Pillow. The principal talks and treats teachers with disrespect. Teachers did not feel valued and were retaliated against. So for two years in a row there has been a HUGE turnover in the staff. This principal lacks the knowledge and leadership of how to run a school. Parents, teachers, and members of the community have voiced concerns with supervisors but she continues run the school into the ground. It is a shame to see how the school has changed for the worst.Teacher Review7mo ago - Padron Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur child has gone to Magellna since preschool and is now in 1st grade. The largest positive for Magellan is their commitment to bilingualism and cultural diversity. The largest negative for Magellan is everything else. As previous reviews have indicated, they rely heavily on screen time. As previous reviews have indicated, they care not for the gifted student. They have no disciplinary structure to speak of, in place of accountability or consequences they will have your child take a walk and if that doesn't work, you have to come pick them up. For a school that claims to be about embracing diversity, the complete lack of care, consideration, and resources to students with neurodiversity is a pitch black mark on who they claim to be. If your child is an average child who seeks to be one of the masses, Magellan will work out just fine. But if your child stands out or doesn't fit or has trouble in any sort of way, be prepared for Magellan to not be there for your child.Parent Review5mo ago
