8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy granddaughter graduated in Spring 2025. Her experience was extremely positive. Teachers were all very involved and related well to the children. The students have a strong bond with each other that has loosely continued as many went on to various middle schools. The final school programs at year end every year were very inclusive and patriotic.Other Review8mo ago11 Reviews - Pleasant Ridge Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child just started third grade at West Hills School for the 2025–2026 school year, and I already feel incredibly grateful for Miss Nicole Wells. Even though it’s only been a week, it’s clear how well she knows her students. She takes the time to understand each child individually, pays close attention in class, and reaches out to parents when needed.Miss Wells keeps us informed about our children’s progress or areas that may need extra attention at home. She also shares helpful tips, creative ideas, and hands-on strategies that really make learning fun and effective. I especially appreciate that she assigns homework as extra practice—I believe in homework as a way to reinforce learning, and it’s great to see a teacher who shares that mindset.Miss Wells is clearly passionate, thoughtful, and committed to her students’ success. She’s an awesome teacher and truly deserves to be recognized!Parent Review11mo ago5 Reviews - Amherst Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe admin at this school is horrible. You’ve got an assistant principal who walks around with her eyes rolled back in her head at pretty much anything someone says. She is very unprofessional with staff and acts as if she’s got a chip on her shoulder. And the principal just sits back and allows it, because she honestly isn’t much better. These two women are talked about badly by the majority of teachers I’ve talked to. They definitely do not care about the students either.Other Review1y ago13 Reviews - West Hills Baptist Preschool & Kindergarten

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a parent, I can’t speak highly enough about West Hills Baptist Preschool and Kindergarten. From the very start, the focus on learning to read and fostering a genuine love of learning has been wonderful to see, especially as I’ve watched my daughter grow in confidence and curiosity. The small class sizes make a real difference. She is truly known, supported, and encouraged every day. The love and care that radiate from the teachers and staff is noticeable the moment you walk through the doors, and it’s clear in how happy and eager she is to learn. Our family has also experienced the lasting impact of this program through our son, who previously attended the same kindergarten and continues to benefit from that strong foundation in elementary school. Watching both of our children flourish academically, socially, and emotionally in such a caring environment has been a real blessing. We are deeply grateful for the lifelong skills, love of learning, and solid foundation both of our children have gained through their time at West Hills Baptist Preschool and Kindergarten.Parent Review7mo ago5 Reviews - Sacred Heart Cathedral School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLook carefully at the turnover of the admin team. Then move your focus to the teaching staff. There is significant turnover because the working environment is atrocious. The pay for teachers is some of the worst in the area, and the support staff are salaried but their hourly wages are less than minimum wage when duties and after hour obligations are factored in. The priest who is in charge of the diocese is a controlling man who lacks moral character and was close personal friends with the previous bishop, who was asked to step down by the Pope and recently passed away. The most Catholic thing you can do when considering this school is to strengthen your faith life at home and send them to a public school. The rigor is missing here as the diocese has had teachers with no credentials or backgrounds in education teaching. A former admin had her unqualified husband teaching a class on the FBI. There are much better public schools in the area.Other Review3mo ago31 Reviews - West End Academy
