"Squirrel Hill North is safe, quiet, fun, caring. It's a great place to live and has a great school in Colfax Elementry. The local shops and food places are great and the library is safe and fun. I highly recommend living here. You can also find a great agent to help you at Berkshire Hathaway under the library."

"the parks requires leashes, but owners often don't leash their dogs in Frick Park, so BE AWARE. I can't walk my toddler on the pathways because of this. Great playgrounds though. I feel safe having my kids walk up to Forbes & Murray alone."

"Despite leash laws, people, sadly, walk their dogs in Frick Park and Schenely Park without them. Keep your little kids close. "

"This area is extremely dog friendly. Frick park has a wonderful off-leash Park, but Schenley and Frick both have great trails for people and their furry friends. "

"Safe diverse neighborhood. Lots of kids at lots of different schools. We've been here for 11 years and raised 3 kids here. Each went to different high schools and all had good experiences."
  • Samanthaleeperry
"I have lived here with 2 young kids for 6 years and don't plan to move. Point Breeze is getting worse crime though."
  • Samanthaleeperry
"Nice families here, kids ages 1-12. Parking is tough - good place id you bike and/or use a bus instead of a car. "
  • Valerieangell

"Squirrel Hill (North) is one of the best family living places in Pittsburgh. Public transportation down Wilkins Boulevard is one block away, still Woodwell Street is a very quite one block street. Schenley Park is walking distance away. Forbes commercial block is also walking distance."
