I’m a new student at Lake, and honestly, I haven’t felt very welcomed here. Being at this school has caused me a lot of stress, and I wish it felt like a more welcoming environment where I didn’t constantly feel judged.At times, I’ve felt like I get weird looks from teachers, and whether it’s because of the way I dress or simply the way I look, it can make me feel awful and uncomfortable. I know everyone may have different experiences, but this has been mine.If I had the opportunity to transfer, I would. I just wish Lake could be a place where new students feel accepted, comfortable, and respected.God bless everyone.
