What Locals Say about Holland

"Good neighbors. Great schools. Private areas. Suburban setting but city is assessable and close by for convenience! Nearby parks! "
  • Emily
"It’s a combination of a small town feel and a city feel, everyone knows everyone. A lot of landscape to look at. But there’s also a lot of city life and places to go to. You pretty much get everything here"
  • Laura H.
"Not always a sidewalk. Also some owners let dogs off leash in their yards. That can be an issue if your dog is reactive. "
  • Adamthrush0151
"Great easy access to 475/75 and the turnpike. Easy access to shopping on airport highway, downtown Maumee and downtown Perrysburg."
  • Hillkristi
"Perfect, easy to get around in the area, no issues or items that I would change at this time. No public transit system in the area."

"Springfield is a wonderful school district. lived here for 14 years and have never locked our home up and often leave our keys in the car. it's awesome to trust our neighbors so thoroughly"
  • Ben D.
"Our neighborhood is more than cul-de-sacs and streets. Our HOA Board helps maintain a pleasant neighborhood while the sidewalks and street lights help encourage an early morning or a late night stroll. "

"We thought 2226 Old Hickory Lane would be our home forever, but then, we became grandparents and she's in Columbus. There's nothing like a granddaughter to bring joy into your heart. We want to be close to her and our daughter and son-in-law. Columbus, here we come! We used to live in West Toledo and loved it. We were minutes away from the mall and other shopping and apprehensive about moving to Holland, but it turned out great for us. We love our home. We've seen it change over the years as we continued to upgrade, update, and maintain the property. We especially love our back yard. It's quiet - except for singing birds, has mature trees for shade and privacy, and beautiful during each season. This particular subdivision is convenient to shopping, in fact, a new Kroger Superstore is in the process of construction. It will be located in the shopping plaza at the end of Holloway Rd. Easy access to I-475, Rt. 23, Airport Highway, Garden Rd. and Salisbury Rd. make it quick and easy to get anywhere in the Toledo Metropolitan and surrounding communities without facing major travel delays or extreme traffic. Our neighbors take pride in their homes and in their yards and you see people walking the neighborhood on a constant basis. The same faces offer a sense of security knowing that the subdivision is stable and safe. My wife and I are season ticket holders to the Broadway Series at The Stanahan Theater, Walleye Hockey and UT Basketball. The Stranahan is so close. In fact, we are never late for a performance. Hockey and Basketball are in various locations in Toledo, but still just a short drive and minutes away from home. We love our neighborhood. Tim Hortons and Panera Bread - they are a daily stop for us. Fallen Timbers and Levis Commons are our favorite movie theaters and they are conveniently located; especially with the easy access to I-475. Sam's Club, TJ Maxx, Best Buy, Kohl's, and many other great stores are just down the street and restaurants abound."
