"Sidewalks and streets Suck! Keep your kids happy & busy- safe inside. Or have a fenced backyard with a bell on the gates"

"Do interview & walk-throughs before choosing an area, you might get a horrible school. Keep your kids inside or out back "

"Everything has increased in price, along with the crime. There are few remaining locales in the South where u feel safe taking a walk or not having a security cam."

"it's great it's low traffic except for when there's a train or something but it's pet friendly and most neighbors are nice as long as you keep to yourself"

"I just like the area, close to everything. My job is right down Cherry street so that’s not far at all from the house. "

"I've live on the East Side for 16 years and I Love it! It's like it's own little city within a city. Although I would love to live in the country..if I had a choice to which side of the city to live in it would definitely be the East Side all the way!!!!"

"I moved here from the Florida...It's affordable. East Toledo is fun. My kids which moved here as preteens but are now late teens refuse to live anywhere else and love it as well. There is a rental community in the area but long time owners are very common. There is very little I don't like about this semi metro area. It feels more like a small town."

"My neighborhood is sketchy like everywhere else in the east side but it’s nice having family on our street. Convenient to downtown and all major expressways. "

"I just don’t personally see anyone walking their dogs on a leash unless it’s running around as a stray. We don’t live in the best area so that could also be why..."

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI love how this school is ran. All about the children and the how they succeed! My son has maintained a high GPA since hes been at this school. I love how the principal and teachers work together to make the children sucessful!! Also the class sizes are perfect! Not over crowded and the teachers can spend one on one time with children when its needed!Parent Review10y ago2 Reviews - Garfield Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAfter a horrible experience with ESC, I pulled my one daughter out of district & enrolled her into Garfield, when they were in the Franklin building. The moment I started talking to Mr. Lang, I knew this was the school for her. She is now in jr. high, but I've had my youngest daughter in the school as well since K & now she is in the 2nd grade. Mr. Lang is a strict YET loving & caring principal. Treating no student different than the other! The teachers are good, some better than others...but I've yet to have a bad experience with any of them. Definitely recommend this school to anyone!Parent Review15y ago2 Reviews - Navarre Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageCommitted administrators who obviously care about the students and the environment of learning sets this school apart. I have watched first hand the sacrifices and the investment made on behalf of all children. Children rise to the level of expectation set at home, and set at school. There are many people going above and beyond the call of duty here.Other Review10y ago2 Reviews - Oakdale Elementary School
