"Short fast commute to NYC, totally walkable area. You could actually get by without a car and just use trains and cabs."

"There are lots of hidden streets and Shiprock staircases leading to paths you can wander off and get lost with your dog. Scouts Field is popular, the staircase up to Lawrence Park area, Bronxville Village, yet you are not far from necessities."

"There are many hidden paths, stairways to climb, and fields to walk all appealing to dogs, and humans alike. It is a safe and clean area to live with a semi urban feel to it. Several modes of transporting are available, bus, train, highway. Very walkable area."

"I’ve lived here my entire life. It’s an amazing place to grow up. Convenient walk to trains and town."

"I absolutely love the neighborhood. It takes me 8 minutes to walk to the Bronxville train station (Metro North). There are 3 excellent Italian restaurants, one of which is very child friendly the other two of which are a bit quieter. There are two Japanese restaurants, one with superb sushi the other with mediocre sushi. There is a movie theater and a grocery store as well as a health food store and lots of shops all within the same 8-10 minute walk. The property taxes are very low. The only down side is that being in Yonkers means you either go to the Yonkers public schools, or you pay for private school. Basically if you have 0-1 children it is a no-brainer because the money you save in taxes allows you to go to a private school or to pay to go to the Bronxville public school. Tuition is temporary, taxes are forever!"
