"I lived in this neighborhood since May 2013 and the people here are nice but the only thing you need to watch out for is the rats and dog poop everywhere. Some owners do pick them up some owners don’t but overall it’s a nice neighborhood."

"great neighborhood with perfect balance of race/ethnicities. it's offers a great suburban feeling while still maintaining a vibrant city life and culture. Great proximity to public transportation, libraries and the Prospect Park. For food lovers more and more restaurants are opening up with a 1 mile radius of the neighborhood. I love it here. "

"This area is great for cheap rent but that is where the pros end. Not a lot of options for grocery stores or restaurants. Area is not the safest or the cleanest. School district among the lowest of the city. Would not recommend for a family. Maybe for a single person or a couple who wants to save money on rent for a few years before moving to someplace better."

"Although public transportation is very accessible I chose to drive most of times. I ride the train or bus only if I’m going to the city or downtown Brooklyn or when it is safer to use public transportation instead of driving."

Mr.M was extremely helpful the guidance counselor also the principal and assistant principal was very understanding and really helped. This is a really great school and care about the kids. Only problem we had it had no G&T program so this is why we left. Over all the school made you feel like family. 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe love PS 315. My son is happy in 1st grade at the school. His teachers strive to make the class engaging and interactive. I'm amazed by how much he is learning this year. He has music, art, dance, gym and even has a weekly class with the Dance Theatre of Harlem. The school community is very welcoming and warm. The PTA is growing and there are many ways to get involved. An amazing, large new playground will be finished in May - with new equipment, a track, basketball and outdoor classroom. The school Administration is really responsive to the parents.Parent Review6y ago16 Reviews - Our Lady of Refuge School
