"I lived here for 14 years still, I love this neighborhood because everything is closer to me. Like halal grocery shops, schools, mosques, clinics, clothing shops, and restaurants right near my home. My family and friends live near too."

"It’s a very diverse friendly neighborhood with multiple parks for children to play in. There are a few schools in the are as well. From public to catholic schools. A con for the neighborhood is parking. This area is very close to the MTA 6 train where you can take a short 15 minute ride to the city. "

"I drive to work so my commute is not too bad. When I took the train it wasn’t bad either. The only issue is it has only one line to Parkchester, and if that line is down it may be a little hassle getting home. Ex: crowded trains "

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHorrible just horrible they are only nice to you when you visit the school but, after a few years their believing everything that is not true, when someone is getting bullied the one getting bullied is getting in trouble. When someone important like the super intendant suddenly they act like there is no bully’s, no rude teachers and no fighting. I don’t know why emotional support is on this list they don’t support it at all if someone is crying they just point it out and yell and make the whole class look at that kid just very,VERY! Horrible if you want your child to have depression or something send them to this schoolStudent Review1mo ago26 Reviews - Santa Maria School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is horrible . They tell you your child can not bring lunch from home. Remind you some kids are picky. My son is 3 years old and they didn’t allow him to eat anything all day. They have the janitor outside smoking cigarettes. Please don’t waste your time sending your kid here it’s really unsafe. They even smashed my son finger inside of the door and no one could of told me what happen it was 3 different storiesParent Review3y ago4 Reviews - P.S. 536

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI loved this school when my child attended this school he was going through a transition from ICT to Special education and the school went out of their way to make my child feel comfortable. The teachers worked with him even through all of my child excuses. If there was a problem the parent coordinator would not hesitate to reach out. The parent coordinator treated every child as if they were her own and made you feel comfortable to leave your child at the school. The school also offered parents so many workshops and opportunities to be involved in their child's educational journey.Parent Review11mo ago2 Reviews - Archer Elementary School
