"Look out for each other. It is far better to look out and be aware of your surroundings as well as take care of your area of the city in which you live, work, visit. "

"All parents should know that no matter where you live on the planet there are good places and bad places. Don't be blinded by Downtowns charm, beautiful homes, and great people. Watch your children closely you never know who is watching them. "

"Good safe neighborhood. Good restaurants and public transportation. The rent is expensive for better accommodations and buying a decent home is virtually impossible on the better neighborhoods."

"It’s been a pretty quiet neighborhood and people respect each other! But I don’t know if still going to be like his in couple of year because of the new people coming in in Jersey City! No playground close here that should be a good addition to the neighborhood and more restaurants to dine in.. nonetheless I still like living here in the because of the convenient of traveling to NY "

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school definitely teaches better things, but teachers need to pay attention to the bullying. My younger cousin was getting bullied and no one did anything about it, until his mother had to say something. They have fun activities and shows, but they need to get better at hosting them. Provides free bus tickets for students that need it, but only if you live far enough. The whole mental health thing doesn’t even help, the counseling is supposed to make it better but it really makes no difference, so they need to fix that. However, you can definitely make friends here, and can have an amazing time. They host many things, occasionally host field trips (for middle school..), and other fun events. Decent education.Student Review1mo ago17 Reviews - Martin Luther King, Jr No. 11 Elementary School

Everyone is loving and caring.... from the teachers too the principal to the security to CST! I have other children in other schools and they are NOT like this school! This is a loving and nurturing environment! Everything a child needs to succeed in school and life! We will miss p.s. 31!!!! NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have two girls going to Primary Prep. One in the second grade and one in a toddler's program. My second grader started at Primary Prep in Kindergarten. She loves her school and all the teachers she had so far. My two year old loves it too and has not cried once. I love the fact that it is small but very diverse and also very affordable compare to other private schools. All my daughter's friends are from different backgrounds; Russians, Indians, Filipinos, Koreans, multi-cultural families, LGBT families,,, all in her small class of less than 20 kids!I wish the school has more progressive educational method with more outside recess time and nature oriented learning experience but I knew going in it is more traditional school. My girls are doing exceptionally well and sometimes I feel my older one needs to be more challenged but what is the most important is the loving and caring environment and she definitely has it at Primary Prep. Also Mrs. Hoffman and all the teachers and staffs have been amazing during this pandemic. The school has been open with in-person classes this whole year with a very few closes and we also have virtual class options. Even in the beginning of pandemic, school came up with structure for virtual classes very quickly and ran smoothly. All my friends who moved out to suburbs with the best school districts continue to suffer even to this day. I have to say, Primary Prep's tuition is much less than my friends' property taxes in the suburbs. This is the best hidden secret in Jersey City!Parent Review5y ago32 Reviews - St Joseph Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter is going to this school and it is her first year. The school seem to be pretty good and school staff caring. I find pastor pretty hard to deal with. The office does not seem to listen to your concerns and all they concern is the money. If not to that I would have given this school a 4 star. They are kind of forcing the people to use the online system to pay for the tuition but if you look at the company to which you have to provide your bank information, you would not feel very comfortable. If it is bank to bank transfer then I would not mind. Here we have to go to a 3rd party which is run from a suite somewhere in NJ and provide them your bank account number and routing number along with other personal stuffs.Parent Review12y ago2 Reviews
