Polk County has an excellent school system! Amazing teachers, many life-changing! The high school was an excellent place academically for my two children.

PCEC is awesome. It is like one big family. There is tons of support and the principal is extremely hands on and truly cares about each student. It is not the right fit for everyone. Students have to be extremely disciplined and self-motivated since many of the classes are online. But for my daughter the smaller environment has allowed her to come out of her shell and be more involved in activities like science club bridge building team and yearbook that she might not have participated in at the main high school because she felt intimidated. The students support each other and differences are celebrated and not bullied. We love it!
