What Locals Say about Lake Lure

  • William E. S.
"I work from home but traffic is very light in this area. There are no lights and traffic flows consistently and fast. No such thing as bumper to bumper."
  • Crystalhmorrison
"Wonderful town with great people and beautiful scenery. We are part of Rumbling Bald Resort so we have access too the pools, boat access, and golf courses. "
  • Curleymop
"Lakefront property but it is overgrown now by tourists & the people who have bought the Center. It used to be a small town atmosphere, now trying to be for the rich & famous, not for families anymore...just for what makes the town money."
  • Phil
"Great area for an active adult life style. Tennis, Golf, fishing, boating, dinning."
  • tamitrail7
"Nice place to visit, but not a great place to live with kids. There is nothing to do in this area as far as sports, etc. All schools but one are pretty far out. It is great for summer with a lake, park and hiking. There is no shopping except for one supermarket and some mom and pop touristy shops."
  • Karen
"If you like nature and all it has to offer then this is the place for you. Stunning scenery everywhere you look. Quiet living with cities nearby for shopping and dining such as Hendersonville and Asheville. Blue Ridge Parkway is a must in the fall! Low crime rate and friendly people!"
