Great School great neighbor teachers aver very professional.

I have had an excellent experience with this school for my children. Growing up I always heard bad things about it and it carries a stigma for being a low-income school but it tests better and rates better than most others in the area. The teachers are well-trained and compassionate. They offer free breakfast and lunch to all students among many other programs offered to help children in their community. Hancock teaches my gifted child in a challenging, encouraging manner. I can't say enough great things about them.

This school is the worst private school in the St. Louis area. The principal is ineffective. He should be a teacher, not administration. The School Board President runs the school. She runs every single element of the school. She has no child in the school and is not an active member of the attached church. She also lives no where near Affton, Mo. They are mixing classes, 2/3 and 5/6. They are currently missing four teachers in total. The fourth grade teacher is terrible. She teaches the students with YouTube videos, which you can do at home for free. Then she charges you to tutor after school what you are already paying her to teach. They have just over 60 students K-8. And it's not to promote small classes. They are ineffective at gaining new students. The principal is very nice but he cannot handle problems. When you go to him, he listens and then does zero about the problem. Bullying is rampant. RAMPANT. They have a Behavior Contract they push at the beginning of the year but there are zero consequences. ZERO.. The most trouble a child gets into is for having an untucked shirt, that's one they do crack down on. This school is a mess. And you pay for it. My advice to stay away from Salem. You are not welcome, not listened to and your student will be behind the curve compared to other schools in the area. The preschool is amazing. K-8 is a joke. Just drive by and don't go in.

Complete lack of discipline process and communication. Don’t send here if you have boys or a large family, you will be discriminated against.
