Great School great neighbor teachers aver very professional.

I have had an excellent experience with this school for my children. Growing up I always heard bad things about it and it carries a stigma for being a low-income school but it tests better and rates better than most others in the area. The teachers are well-trained and compassionate. They offer free breakfast and lunch to all students among many other programs offered to help children in their community. Hancock teaches my gifted child in a challenging, encouraging manner. I can't say enough great things about them.

I'd Give this School a 5 Because of the Principal here . I think she needs a New Scenery and to be Trained all over again on How to work well with Staff and Parents. The Teachers Do the best that they can here and don't get enough credit for it.

Salem is one of the worst schools to not only send your kids but from the looks of it, to work there. The teachers there do not engage with any type of extracurricular activities or event held at the school. Majority of their “teaching” is held on iPads or the SmartBoards watching videos/playing games. This school is very small with only about 60 students in K-8. Preschool seems to be the only thing holding the school together as of right now. However, Salem cannot keep any of their students from preschool once they enter Kindergarten. When dropping or picking up your kid you can hear staff members talking bad about either the children in their classes or other staff members. They do not hold any students or staff members accountable for their actions. This place is a free for all for anyone who walks in. This school has one of the worst management when it comes to maintaining the property. They are infested with rodents and insects. There are mice, roaches, and all sorts of things continuously crawling around the place. When just walking into the building through the preschool entrance you can tell they do not take care of the playgrounds. I would not recommend this school for any family to send their children, let alone to work in such a disgusting environment.

Complete lack of discipline process and communication. Don’t send here if you have boys or a large family, you will be discriminated against.
