3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBoth of my children went to Reiche. I don't usually post reviews online, but after seeing the horrible rating on this site, I felt compelled. The teachers are incredible: hardworking, intelligent, creative, and caring. They are so good at building community in an amazingly diverse school for Maine. The international potluck will rock your tastebuds and the talent show will have you weepy at least once. I am a teacher in one of the rich suburban schools nearby and am so glad my kids went to Reiche!Parent Review2y ago9 Reviews - Longfellow School-Portland

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhen I went to this school, I felt connected to my peers around me and teachers would always be there for you even if they were going through a rough time on their own. There were many fun activities such as movie nights and engaging field trips, allowing the child brain to develop new skills in different subjects (social and academically). I spent all K-5 here and it was amazing so I would definitely recommend this school to parents.Other Review2y ago9 Reviews - James Otis Kaler Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThank goodness we found a home in Scarborough school system. I cannot even begin to describe the horrors I went though with not only the previous principal but multiple uneducated teachers at this school. They allow bullying with just a slap on the wrist not only from children but my daughters teacher (won’t name names but the second grade teacher) who continuously harassed and targeted my day he her, thankfully I was able to switch her teacher that year and she was able to have a good rest of the school year. My daughter was considered above her level for math and reading and now entering Scarborough we are finding that is she is JUST where she needs to be and Kaler really dumbs things down for the non-English speaking children unfortunately, so if you want your children to get the most out of their education I would consider another school system. This is also coming from a mom who has attended all South Portland schools growing up and let’s just say I am so blessed and happy to have my daughter attending Wentworth where she can really grow her mind.Parent Review3y ago7 Reviews - Greater Portland Christian School
