5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy children hate going to school here. It is a fight every single day. Everyday my children come home to tell me that an adult either screamed at them or at another student. My daughter used to want to buy lunch but she is terrified of the cafeteria workers because they are so rude and yell all the time. I watched an adult building service worker yell in the face of another 5th grade student and threaten to tell the principal. I dont understand how they have any authority over students. Its not their job. My son tries to hold his bladder all day because he was made to pick up trash in the bathroom he didnt put there and was scolded and falsely accused by another budding service worker. We are considering moving at this point. My kids are scared to go to school. The administrators are so disrespectful and rude. I have never met such horrible humans before. Private school or homeschooling would be better. Superintendent Navarro and the BOE have really gone down hill over the years.Parent Review1mo ago11 Reviews - St. Mary's School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOptions for private schools in our county are very limited, as are available spots in those schools. SMB parents, teachers, and staff have been warm and welcoming from the start, but this school claims to offer rigorous academics, and we have found it to be largely hit or miss in that regard. There are, as in any school, teachers who go above and beyond, and some who seem either checked out, or don't communicate well with parents about learning objectives and how well students are meeting goals. Our children have come home with test scores and undergone assessments with no information to help parents understand what scores meant for that child's performance. We've also been rushed through too-brief parent-teacher conferences. It is, at times, incredibly frustrating. Obviously, we want to support our child's learning experience and be sure they are meeting expectations. To make the experience even more disheartening (often disheartening), parents are frequently treated as a meal ticket. Nearly every piece of communication from the school is a request for money, and this is on top of volunteer requirements, paying tuition, and other expenses (uniform, etc.).Other Review2y ago12 Reviews
