  • Zach

"I Love visiting here! The people are so nice I just love the fresh produce at all the farm markets Just a great community "
  • Andrew Corsini
"To different parts of dc where I typically work?... Horrible, unbearable and possibly not worth it. However it might not be far enough to escape over population. I’m not rich but I don’t want to live in a shoe box. The people are people though. I feel like I had more privacy living in an apartment. I guess people have lived here for 15 to 30 years and aren’t trying to have things change. My dogs have been a huge ordeal. From my neighbor spraying one in the in the face from 30 feet with wasp spray to calling animal control on the other one for getting out of the yard for 30 seconds and I scooped her up and carried her back in 35 seconds. So maybe a little further out is better. At least stay out of country lakes. Too much of a mix between old and new."
  • Arlene
"i love ut only been here for 6 months. its quite and friendly. the community has a tennis court and the beach is near. the restaurant is nice and friendly people. "
  • Raye L.
"most people that live here are good people and are usual civil. also amish live all the way in the back so you can see a buggy up close every so often."
  • Gary
"This is one of the few planned communities in St. Mary's County that is larger than 12-15 homes. Most of the homes are on 1 acre+, so you are no on top of anyone. A significant feature is the public water, so you never have to worry about a well. The area is centrally located to California, MD and Waldorf, MD and it's an easy drive to DC or Annapolis or Baltimore. Close enough to commute, but far enough away that you can see all the stars out at night."
  • dawn
"This home is located in the Sandgates section of Mechanicsville so it is 15-20 minutes from Solomon's Island and PAX Naval Air Station yet 1 hour in the other direction will take you to Alexandria, DC and Annapolis! It is the perfect location for those who want to get back to the basics and enjoy a quiet life in a beautiful setting while still have access to all of the shopping, restaurants, entertainment and excitement that the metropolitan DC area has to offer!"
  • Cheryl T.
"Love this area and the down home people.... always there when you need a hand."
  • lizzyjr
