"This area has a great deal to offer both families and singles. Close to many major stores. 15 minutes from St. Charles Mall as well as downtown DC. 5 Minutes from Joint Base Andrews. "
  • Tfletcher
"I live in this neighborhood and this particular resident have a lot of parties. During their parties, their guest leave trash in front of our homes. Plates, bottles, soda cans, forks, and even trash from their vehicles. These neighbors do not clean up behind their guest or correct the issue. This happens at every event that they have and it is totally unacceptable. I can look outside right now and see trash that was left from their event today. If they helped to keep the neighborhood clean, that would be one thing. Unfortunately, us good neighbors always end up having to clean it up. Some of the neighbors are considering moving due to their nastiness. How can we keep our property values up when we have people at 9707 bringing it down."
  • Martinez
"I am not a local and this area makes me feel very comfortable and safe; the neighbors are quiet and friendly and there is a nice little lake close by well kept up as well. I also run down the street and used Thrift road to help train for a marathon. The homes are nicely placed and designed. Highly recommend this neighborhood/area. "

Types of apartment in Clinton, MD

Clinton, MD has a lot of garden-style apartments and condo-style apartments for rent. Many sit in low-rise brick buildings from the mid to late 1900s, often with broad parking lots, simple balconies, and shared entry halls. Near Branch Avenue and Woodyard Road, apartments often look more commercial from the street, with wider roads and larger apartment communities. In the north side near Camp Springs, you can also find townhouse rentals with brick fronts, small stoops, and fenced back patios.
Toward Surratts Road and the older parts of town near Surratt House Museum, houses for rent often include split-levels, ranch homes, and colonials with siding, shutters, and longer driveways. In areas closer to Joint Base Andrews and Temple Hills, the housing mix can shift faster block to block, with apartments beside duplexes and townhomes. Many interiors in Clinton rentals include open living rooms, galley kitchens, and in-unit laundry in newer units, while older apartments can have smaller closets and less natural light. The tradeoff is simple: larger grounds and easier parking often come with less walkable surroundings.
