"They can visit and walk around this places because is very beautiful, ande near the city, I recommend Parks, beach, downtown landscape, train station and buses, library and airport. Also ride a bicycle through the different parks because these are safe since they have their own roads, and in these there are many things to see such as birds, the city on the other side of the canal or the beach and and also boats, in addition to being able go on the ferry to the other side to the city of Boston because it is not very expensive so it is fun and entertaining"

"no parking big problem with the snow. noisy, Logan Airport is 5 minutes oway good for traveling not for leaving here because of the traffic. also east Boston only has 7 ways in and out. 2 tunnels that some times close for maintenance, 2 bridges that go up all the time for boats you have to wait 15 to 30 minutes for the bridges to go down, travel out or in by plane, or ferry, or 145 or 1A. "I have lived in Eastie for 7 years and love it. The restaurants and bakeries are amazing. It’s very family friendly and the parks are beautiful. Yes there are gritty areas but it’s a city. Also Eastie has hands down the best views in Boston and the blue line is always on time and super clean. "

"There’s a great mix of new and old just a short trip from downtown. Still feels like one of the last undiscovered (or at least less-thought-of) neighborhoods of Boston."

"I’ve lived in this area for over 35 years n for young adults, kids, married couples etc it’s a safe area for living in a growing community. Many activities for all and has a YMCA within a few blocks where you can also swim, walk, roller blade n more. Piers Park is within minutes n you can learn to sail w other activities. City living is exciting n never a dull moment. "

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageStarting with Principal McCarthy all the way down to K1, I have been very impressed with faculty's attention and advocacy for the children. Any issues I have had, have been immediately addressed and I feel I can bring any issue forward and will be satisfactorily met.The teachers are amazing in that the ensure the classroom atmosphere is warm and inviting, inclusive, and individualized according to the student's needs. They utilize a Fundations program from kindergarten on, that is very impressive in helping the kids to read. I am happy about the stamina of the 2nd grade teachers this year because they have made a concerted effort to arrange field trips for the kids--a goal of "one per month[!]" I would recommend this school because they provide ample physical education (3x per week), art, music, and theater. The student body is diverse and the school emphasizes community, tolerance, and respect. My only complaint would be that they do not go through the 8th grade. Perhaps something can be done about that... :)Parent Review9y ago3 Reviews - McKay K-8 School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagei was a student at this school last year (2021-2022) and most of the teachers weren't the problem it was the other staff. there were several times where i got harassed and assaulted and one time they didnt even tell me who did it so i could avoid them. after another incident happened they made ME wait in the office in the morning for weeks while the kids who harassed me were able to go outside. they also never payed good attention to me cause there were time where i would have scars on me and they didnt notice (care??) the counselors and math teachers were nice though and they were the main reason i kept going to that school. (if mr huynh and ms thayer sees this thank you for being an amazing teacher).Other Review3y ago1 Reviews - Hugh Roe O'Donnell Elementary School
