"Easy, there are local buses to downtown which I usually take on bad weather days. Otherwise, I usually bike"

"Residential, young families. Progressively become more gentrified. Not a lot of restaurants but very historic, walkable, and dog-friendly. "

"Public schools here are filled up fast and no guarantees if you live here the student will attend here. Private schools are in North end or Cambridge."

"Public transportation is far away if you plan on taking the T or water taxi from living in the heart of Charlestown. You are going to have a good mile+ hike up to Bunker Hill College or all the way in the Navy Yard for a water taxi. "

"Charlestown is a phenomenal community for families. Kids play together in parks and there are great resources such as baby yoga, libraries, museums, boys and girls club, etc. Everything is within walking distance and it really is so lovely - minus the projects, drugs and crime. City living at its best!"

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHarvard Kent has always been an amazing community school that really embraces their student body and strives to give the kids a great education. There were some bumps in the road with principal changes over the last few years, but the current (and permanent) principal has proven to be a huge asset. He loves the students, has a vision and is making huge improvements to the school every day (curriculum, school spirit, activities, engagement etc). We have considered sending our kids elsewhere but feel extremely committed to the school for all of our children. And as always - the teachers at the Harvard Kent are truly the warmest, smartest people and our kids leave every day feeling so loved.Parent Review7mo ago6 Reviews - Warren-Prescott K-8 School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageReported stolen items from this school (from a school play.) They didn’t do anything. Also, this school is perfect for rich children of wealthy parents. But if you’re of low income, don’t even bother about putting your child in this school. They will feel/be excluded and shunned to the side because of their class meanwhile the rich students whose parents have connections will be pandered to. This school is atrocious. Would not recommend.Other Review11mo ago20 Reviews - Horace Mann School For The Deaf
