5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a current parent at Élan Academy, I can say that my daughter has learned a lot during her time there, and I appreciate the educational growth she has made. However, there are still many changes that need to happen within the school. Communication with parents needs significant improvement. School events are often posted on social media before parents are informed through ParentSquare, and families are not always given adequate notice for upcoming events. There have also been concerns regarding responsiveness from administration and staff, as the stated 24-hour response timeframe for parent communication is not always followed. While concerns may be discussed, there is often little follow-up or resolution of said problems. They also make changes in the classrooms without notifying parents, and students’ IEP accommodations do not always appear to be consistently followed. Additionally, there have been concerns among parents regarding favoritism within the school community involving families connected to parent leadership organizations. The school would benefit from stronger communication, transparency, accountability, and consistency moving forward. Not sure if I’d recommend this school. The only thing that keeps me happy is my child’s academic progress.Parent Review1mo ago9 Reviews
